[While Pinkie has Poe distract Finn for most of the day, this little party pony's hard at work making this the best (and only) birthday this ex-Storm Trooper's ever had! As advertised, the whole ship is decorated bow to stern with streamers and lights and balloons. There's music throughout all the speakers, dancing and games on the bridge, and SO MANY TREATS in the kitchen. There's mild and spicy nachos, salsa, cubes of spiky blue fruit that tastes like cantaloupe, candy, and HUGE birthday cake made from as many real ingredients as Pinkie could get her hooves on. There's also a HUGE punch bowl with Pinkie's best punch recipe, and pre-poured cups of what looks like some blue fizzy milkshake. Knock yourselves out, guys, and help Finn have the best birthday ever since the First Order is made of jerks!]

She put all this together, too. I mean, I know she said it's her job back home and all, but I didn't even know you could decorate a ship like this, and I've seen a lot of ships.

A little bit. I shouldn't really be mocking though. If she's here then she's people. [And treating people with respect regardless of what they are is kind of a big point of hers so she should probably do that. But also...pony?]

[Kitty laughs almost involuntarily at that because she only has one of the three back home. It's not really funny though. They used to have the other two. And well, maybe there's still society. It's just so radically changed from what she'd grown up with it was hard to see it that way. And she was a long way from the human settlements in Apocalypse's stronghold.] Yeah, well, at least we have language at home.

[Finn looks concerned for a moment - he didn't mean to make her sad just by listing the standard definition of a culture as he'd learned it. So he continues quietly.]

No, my team always tried to do something. Probably helped that I was the youngest for so long. [And her parents of course. Even the prison threw her one while she was there. But she realizes the implications of what he just asked a beat later.]

Wait, you've never had a birthday party?

[Finn shrugs with a bad imitation of nonchalance.] Tell the truth, I don't even know when my birthday is. But Pinkie said that was a crime, so she assigned me one.

So Pinkie said I should have my birthday one month after hers, so she could remember it. Works for me.

No reason not to, at least as long as I'm using this calendar. [The one back home is pretty different.]

That one I know. I was 23, so I'm 24 now.
