[Crowley is here for the shitty pudding, still giving off pheromones like you wouldn't believe. He's been good enough to avoid his crew since the...fun with Tek, but he will not miss out on the siren call of pudding.

He wanders past with an idle wave, picking up a pudding cup.]

'Lo, welcome to the most half-arsed ship on the Fleet, you must be so happy.

[She had wondered what those were all about, and now that Crowley's claimed one she's watching closely to see what he'll do with it.

The pudding is absolutely the only reason she's paying such close attention to him. It has nothing to do with how handsome he is, or the fact that she feels oddly compelled to move over to where he is. Luckily, she can pass that over as picking up a pudding cup of her own.]

I can hardly contain myself, in fact. It may turn out to be quite the problem.

[He hopes this thing wears off, soon, it's getting weird. ]

I hope you're good at problem solving, then.

Quite good, as luck would have it. I suppose that's why I've been designated an engineer for this ship.

Ah, so you're here to make everything work better for us, and/or fix stuff when it inevitably breaks.

[A spoon, she hadn't even thought of that. She turns to retrieve one, and on her own figures the whole pull tab thing out. Immediately the smell reminds her of chocolate, but this is definitely not like anything she's ever seen before.

She scoops a little of the pudding up, pointedly does not comment on his suggestion to put things in her mouth, and gives it a taste.]

... Oh, Creators. This is almost better than tiny cakes.

[If only Bull were here to enjoy the majesty of chocolate with her.]

[Crowley chuckles.]

See? Told you so. We only get them when someone new shows up, it's supposed to be a treat.

And otherwise it's just those... block things?

[She had been about to eat the pudding as quickly as she could, but now she'll just. Take it slow. Make it last, because those gel things are Not Great.]

I don't suppose you happen to hoard these, just in case?

Afraid not, we hardly get enough to hoard them. Luckily, we usually get someone more palatable on the planets and Waystations we come across. We're near one with lots of meat, currently.

I had been wondering if embarking on other planets was something that happened often. The ships are so small, it's difficult to imagine a full month cooped up on one.

That depends on the company, I reckon.

But still, we have plenty of stopping-off points, so it's not all that bad.

Would you consider the company on this ship to be good or bad?

On this ship? Everyone is pretty tolerable, to be honest. I'm fairly certain none of us are psychopaths. Take that as you will.

Is there... Is there any way to take that that isn't positively? I shouldn't think anyone would want to be stuck on a ship filled with insane people.

Some people might be really bored. Or have certain kinks. That can happen.

Certain- [Please be kidding.] You don't really think it has anything to do with that, do you?

I wouldn't be surprised. Last place I was in? Maybe people kiss for a week, every year.

Why? What could the point to that possibly be?

Because the castle fed on emotions. Nothing gets those flowing like sudden forced romance.

I know this place works on... ratings, [She says this like the idea of ratings is incredibly foreign, because it is. What even is television.] but does that... surely we aren't keeping whoever we're entertaining alive. That can't be true, can it?

None of this makes any sense.

I don't know, maybe, maybe not. I doubt we'll ever get the answers we actually want. I was in Paradisa for five years and I still only understand probably half of what was actually going on.

This is one of those sit back and enjoy the ride, hope you don't get maimed sort of adventures.
