[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

I don't think it's a good thing or a bad thing. It's just a thing. You're not a clone. [She peers at him, then.] ... I'm not entirely sure you're human, either.

The Force is the energy of the universe. It flows through everything. You, me, this moon... saying someone is "strong" with it means they can sense that energy, and use it, in ways that normal people can't.

Oh... [Humans are the people who look like him, then. ] then what am I? [Though this is all useful information, he thinks.]

[He listens intently, thoughtfully.] I can feel a sort of energy. Is that not common? I think... [He holds up one hand, palm up, and concentrates. Light ripples in the sure over his palm.]

[Ahsoka just shakes her head.] I don't know...

[She's fascinated by the ball of light, though.] That sure feels like the Force! It's definitely not common. I've never seen it used like that before, though!

Oh. [Is he something strange, if Ahsoka didn't know?]

[Though this next thing makes him grin. Because the power feels good. It's warm, and so shove.] I don't know how, but I understand this. The energy...i can move light around. I can feel it. [And it's such a pure thing.] Does that mean I could be a Jedi?

Hmmm. I don't know. You're a little bit old...

That's really cool, though. What else can you do?

How old am I? [One more thing he doesn't know. He doesn't even know what ages he feels, since of course this is how he's always felt, as far as he can recall.]

Hm. I think... [He casts around for a moment, and spots a cup that's been abandoned on a nearby desk. It's another thing he can mentally grasp, and he feels he ought to...

He holds his hand out toward the cup, feeling its place in space, feeling as if he can grasp it even though he's across the room. A slight frown as he tugs the energies he feels and--the cup flies to his hand. He grins at Ahsoka, very pleased with himself indeed.]

It was there, and I wished for it to be in my hand.

Huh. It's hard to tell with humans... [she frowns for a minute, clearly mulling it over. He's older than Anakin, but not as old Obi-Wan.] Maybe... 25?

[If this truly is a reality television show, somewhere out there in the galaxy, the Atroma are overlaying a laugh track on that particular moment.

Ahsoka seems pretty pleased at Loki's display of telekinesis, though.]

Hey, good job! You are pretty good at this. I bet you were trained in the Force, you just can't remember it... [Ahsoka levitates over to him one of the ration cookies from the plate of them she'd been snacking off of.] Snack?

[But she'd said he wasn't human. Then again... well. Who knows. It's a number, at least. One more number than he had before.]

Thank you! [He grins broadly at her own show of ability.] You're very good at that too. And yes please. [He holds out a hand for the cookie.] I suppose it's possible that I learned that way. It feels like... like knowing how to walk or anything like that. Memory that isn't memory.

That makes sense, though. The Force is pretty intuitive. You just have to know how to listen.

[He nods slowly, mulling this over.] Listen to the energies, yes?

I think I can do that.

[Ahsoka nods, pleased.]

That's right! Maybe if you concentrate and use the Force, you'll be able to remember your name, too...

Oh, that's a good idea!

[He goes quiet for a moment eyes closed as he tries to find something in himself that might offer up a name. His outline singers momentarily with that light, but no, that can't be it. Not the right sort of energy, he supposes. He digs deeper internally and finds something odd and cold that isn't like anything else he has felt. Perhaps that is what he's been looking for. As he tries to manipulate that, the odd chill--it doesn't actually feel bad, just different--spreads.

Externally, that means he starts turning blue...]

[Ahsoka's eyes go wide for a moment as she watches, and something sends a shiver down her spine. A chiss...? ... No. The resemblance is similar, but not total. Perhaps he was a mutant, like Kurt. Capable of having two different forms. She won't interrupt him though, at least not yet. Not until she senses danger. Until then, she'll just observe quietly.]

[The air around him takes on a very distinctive chill--it though he does not notice. Instead he friends and opens his eyes.]

No, that doesn't seem to have done anything.

[Looks down at his hands.] Oh.

[Not alarmed. Not yet. Merely curious.] Is this normal?

Ummm... not as far as I know? Some people can do it, but... it's pretty rare. Shapeshifters, mostly. Have you tried turning into something else?

Hmmm. I can try... [This is all rather bemusing. As soon as he stops focusing on the cold, the blue begins to disappear from his skin.

The only thing he can think to try at the moment--too many options, not enough clarity--is Ahsoka herself. He focuses on her intently, how she looks and moves. His outline shimmers with light and then--

He looks like Ahsoka, down to her height.]

Whoa...

[Ahsoka just stares, bug-eyed and awed.]

So you are a shapeshifter! I was right!

[He looks at himself and smiles brightly.] I suppose I am!

Is that good?

[Ahsoka gives a small chuckle.]

You seem pretty concerned over what's good and bad. You should relax a bit. Nothing's inherently good or bad on it's own. It's what you do with it.

[That seems an important thing to know. But why does he feel so anxious about it? He's not certain.]

I... Don't really know why I'm worried about it. It does seem a silly thing to worry about.

[He returns to his native form.]

It just means you're a good person! [She says, cavalier, before picking up another ration cookie and stuffing it in her mouth.]

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get your missing memories back soon. Permanent amnesia is pretty rare! I was never any good at healing, but I remember that much from training.

[He nods. Ahsoka seems to know what she's talking about, so he files that away as something more he knows about himself. He is A Good Person.]

That's a relief. It's... Disconcerting. But interesting! There's so much to learn, I almost don't know where to start.

But I suppose if I remember everything again, it's wasted effort... [But what else is he going to do, sit in a room and wait until he can remember everything again? That seems silly as well.]

[That jogs something in Ahsoka's own memory, and she perks up.]

Oh! Duh! I'm so dumb. We should go to the library! I heard there's one here on one of the other ships, and it has stuff from people's homes in there. Maybe you'll see something in there that'll jog your memory!

[A library--he knows what those are. Books! And he knows what those are too. He grins.]

That's a very good idea! Yes, we ought to go.

And if there are books about your world our about Jedi, I should like to see those too. It all sounds very interesting.

[Are you sure he can't be a Jedi? It just sounds cool.]

All right! [She jumps up, pumped.] Let's go!

[She can't remember the last time she was excited to go to the library, but all the waiting around on this moon has made her bored.]
