[Video starts with... that sure is Loki. But there's something subtly weird about his expression. There's nothing guarded or calculated about it, a slight relaxation of ever-present tension that was never apparent before, perhaps. The best poker face in all Nine Realms is nowhere to be seen. If anything, he looks upset. Confused, worried, a bit scared. And he's out in the forest on the toxic moon, which is just great, let him tell you. No mask, but he's never needed one before, not that he's aware of that, or of the fact that most people have to wear them.]

Hello? Yes, this seems to be working. What a curious device. [Anyway. The point.]

I seem to be lost. Very lost. Where is this?

[A view of the forest, brief but steady.]

And--[Careful breath.]--who am I?

[Lucky Loki, his augment has glitched and while he remembers how to do things--and the occasional esoteric fact--he has no idea who he is. Good news--or bad news depending on your opinion of his usual space asshole personality--he'll get over it in about a week.

Even if no one comes find him, he'll make his way back to civilization eventually and be very confused about life and where he's even supposed to be. Good thing he's practically indestructible. But eventually, he will be around on the Paisley, and on the Iskaulit, poking about.]

I feel... jealous. Is that strange?

Not at all.

[ Though Leto has never felt the sting of jealousy himself. He cups Loki's jaw to press a kiss to his chin, cheek and ear, nosing their faces together. ]

[That proves a very good distraction; being kissed is far more pleasant than contemplating the sensation of jealousy. One hand rests on Leto's elbow, the other sliding through his hair--he finds he likes Leto's hair, the way it feels under his fingers. And he breathes out a happy, slightly unsteady little sigh. What a feast of new things this is.]

[ This isn't new to Leto, not by far. He has every experience, every touch, every moment catalogued in his mind. For him, this wasn't special.

Except for that feeling of being wanted, being needed, being loved. Leto loves fragrantly and easily. It's always there, in the crinkle of his eyes when he talks to someone. He basks in it, fiercely supports the beating of the heart. It did not matter if he was loved in turn.

( but he is weak to it. ) ]

[He doesn't know enough yet to love or even need, but want is something very elemental. And he finds himself wanting very quickly. How could he not? First experiences are powerful and arresting things. And now, he doesn't know to be shy, or concerned with the power dynamics of being the one who wants. All he knows is that he wishes to move closer to Leto, so he does, or kiss him, so he does.]

[ What a thrill it is. Leto never ceases to be surprised when people ignore the wormskin. Granted, most people don't understand the implications of it. As for the skin, it hums and hisses quietly. The Worm isn't used to touch, but it is a firm lover of warmth. ]

You're a quick learner.

[He isn't nearly as warm as he ought to be, probably; jotun blood flows like ice, though he doesn't realize it as something that makes him foreign. And the wormskin... another advantage offered to him by his lack of knowledge; he doesn't know enough to find it troubling or all that odd, not when everything is effectively odd and thus fascinating.

He smiles crookedly.]

I wished to be closer, thus have I moved.

[He strokes the line of Leto's jaw with his thumb.]

[ He leans into it, his eyes hooded. ]

And where will you move to?

I do not yet know. As far as I may, I think. So that I will see the shape of all boundaries. [More useful information, waiting to be tested. He watches Leto with a certain amount of fascination, because that is another sort of sensation, to touch someone and watch them enjoy it. Experimentally, he kisses the angle of Leto's jaw.]

I hope you see it soon then.

[ He tilts his face to that with a soft sigh. ]

[He frowns slightly, not entirely certain of the meaning. Better to ask, he thinks, and then he will know.] Do you mean that I move too slowly? [It isn't as if he knows what he's doing, here.]

[ He laughs softly. ]

No. I mean that discovering the shape of the new is a fascinating endeavor. I've never really felt the newness of things.

[Thoughtful, he places another kiss on Leto's jaw.] I suppose even I am not new.

[ He trails his fingers down Loki's face. ]

You can feel it. And I feel it through you.

[He sighs softly, eyes closing at that touch. He wonders, a bit, if that is the real reason why Leto has decided to kiss him and be kissed by him. Though is there anything wrong with that, if it is? He would like to feel wanted for himself, so to speak, but is such a thing possible when his self is an unknown?]

[ Softly. ]

Speak your mind.

[Curious rather than accusing:] Is this why you have decided to keep me with you, rather than sending me away? So that you might have a sort of left-handed newness?

[ If he's bothered by the question, he doesn't show it. ]

Do you believe that?

[Slightly amused.] If I believed that, I would not be asking it as a question. It occurred to me as a possibility.

[ Leto clicks his tongue. ]

As a possibility, it does exist. It's not the first time people have said that of me. But no, that's not why. I'm here for you.

Then my question has been answered.

[He laughs, smile twisting a bit wryly.]

I think I find it strange that you would be here for me, when me is a thing ill defined.

Even when the words escape us, it does not change the heart. You are standing here in front of me. What other definitions do I need?

[Perhaps he shouldn't be so moved by the words, but he is. It feels very good, actually. So what seems natural punctuation for that statement and the warmth it spreads through him is to kiss Leto, quite firmly. ]

[ He laughs softly as he kisses back, his thumb curling lazily near Loki's neck. ]

[At this point, he's content to kiss Leto as much as he may. There is probably more to this, though he isn't yet certain what, other than going back to Leto's talk of deformities and the like. Idly he brushes his fingers over Leto's neck, then finds the line of his collarbone through his shirt. Another sort of exploration as well.]
