Of course it's a lot. But she was pretty clear about me protecting Kal-El, and by extension, the home he knows.

I'm not saying you shouldn't still try to protect each other. I just, I don't know, your life isn't a mission. It's your life.

Because the hopes and dreams of Krypton—the language, history, and culture—lies with me. Kal-El was an infant. He doesn't know any of it. I wasn't. I was old enough to know these things, and with my aunt dead, it really is my responsibility.

[Just have a worried look, Kara. It's also a thoughtful one because at this point she and Kurt are the only escapees from their dying world too. But there's plenty of earth culture to go around. Not to mention earths that turned out a lot better than theirs. Was there anything from it she really needed to pass along?]
