[Wrath's very excited about having so many of her friends around. While she likes showing off the Windrose, she decided the Iskaulit would be a better place. There are plenty of spare rooms not far from the mural where she can set up temporarily, and this way she's not taking up her ship's dining area and making things difficult for her crewmates.

She's got snacks lined up--including more dried bacon kelp--and an array of good drinks. Officer Snuggles, released from his tactical fox vest, is hanging around in the hopes that some ~~sucker~~ kind stranger will feed him under the table.

A deck of cards is waiting, and she managed to find a box of game tokens that should work well during one last trip to the moon. Everything's ready.]

I should consider picking up more hobbies as well. I've been rather lax on that front.

Being idle is.. [ He shakes his head. ] How do people do this every day?

I don't know.

[ For Charles, it's different. They needed something to prevent them from remembering that they could die at any moment. ]

People don't have the same tension. They can live a life without fearing the worst because they've never seen worse.

I didn't do things like this. Between missions. [ Mumbled, ] Cryo wasn't too bad... I guess.

[ As far as 'things HYDRA did to me for 70 years' goes, cryostasis wasn't the worst. ]

Erik and I had to pick up certain habits or hobbies to keep our minds occupied. In a way, we also existed between missions and our lives were just moments waiting for the next axe to fall.

What did you do, then?

[ He smiles, glancing away. ]

Erik likes to bake. I spent most of my time organizing books and compiling information.

Jim liked to bake, too. I think we have some decent baking supplies, if he wants..

[ He smiles softly. ]

Erik would like that, if you're fine with it.

It's a shared space. There might be a recipe book in one of the cupboards, too.

[ All Winter knows is that he hasn't touched it since before Jim vanished. It was never his passion, anyway. ]

[ He nods. ]

I'll let him know. Thank you.

Didn't you? I must have heard someone else speak of baking supplies and recipes. My mistake.

They were never mine to start with. Being captain doesn't make things mine anymore than yours.

[ He softens. ]

That wasn't what I was implying. They belonged to a friend. It takes a lot to share those kinds of things.

The supplies belong to the ship. He just used them the most.

[ He thinks about it for a moment, eyes flicking up to Charles' face. ]

Someone should use them, at least.

We'll take good care of them until he returns.

[ If he even returns. But Steve did, so there's hope, right? ] That's all I can ask.

That, and a good hand in poker.

[ He shrugs. ] Easier to get a good hand at poker. You just have to know how to work the cards..

And work the people as well.

Yeah, that too.

To be honest, I'm rather rusty. I always found poker less of a cerebral game for me.

I only know this and solitaire. Never really got around to learning any others.

What of chess? I find a lot of people play it here.
