Who: Wrath, Winter, Beverly, Charles, and Erik
Broadcast: None
Action: on the Iskaulit
When: June 4

[Wrath's very excited about having so many of her friends around. While she likes showing off the Windrose, she decided the Iskaulit would be a better place. There are plenty of spare rooms not far from the mural where she can set up temporarily, and this way she's not taking up her ship's dining area and making things difficult for her crewmates.

She's got snacks lined up--including more dried bacon kelp--and an array of good drinks. Officer Snuggles, released from his tactical fox vest, is hanging around in the hopes that some sucker kind stranger will feed him under the table.

A deck of cards is waiting, and she managed to find a box of game tokens that should work well during one last trip to the moon. Everything's ready.]

What do you explore?
dancingmd: (head tilt)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-25 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Outer space, other planets, other cultures... or at least, that's what our ship does in general. My specialties lie in medical technology and botany.
axiomed: (That thought would never leave us)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-25 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
[ Charles blinks. ]

Were you on another ship then? An exploration ship?
dancingmd: (now what)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-25 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Yes! I'm sorry, since you knew about Betazoids already, I thought you knew: I'm in Starfleet.
axiomed: (I'm not the boy I used to be)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-25 01:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, so you and Captain Kirk are from the same universe. I hadn't realized.
dancingmd: (listening)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-25 01:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Not... Quite. He's from a universe parallel to mine and from an earlier time as well. He was born about a hundred years before me.
axiomed: (Save them from the madness)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-25 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
That's . . . quite the divide. Unusual too.
dancingmd: (chinhands)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-25 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
You see why the patterns of who comes here intrigues me then. Even those who have been here from my universe have not been people I knew there. Much different from most people's experiences.
axiomed: (I couldn't give you all)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-26 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
For me, this is the first time meeting mutants outside of my universe. I had some inkling, of course. I've interacted with my future self and other time travelers, but that was within the confines of my universe as well.
dancingmd: (coffee and croissants)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-26 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
My condolences. Time travel is a real headache.

[Sort of joking, sort of not.]
axiomed: (Our way through)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-27 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
[ He chuckles. ]

It certainly is that. I traveled through the mind. It was an . . . interesting experience.
dancingmd: (quirk)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-27 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish I had gone through the mind... at least I wouldn't have to be wearing a corset.
axiomed: (This town has got the youth of me)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-27 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
How far back did you go?
dancingmd: (talk to me)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-28 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
About five hundred years - 1893.
axiomed: (Just having you there)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-28 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
That's impressive. I didn't think anyone could travel back so far.
dancingmd: (who do you think you're kidding?)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-30 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
To be honest, we didn't exactly do it on purpose. I'm just glad we all made it back.
axiomed: (You're a victim of like a meaning)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-06-30 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
How did it even happen?
dancingmd: (now what)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-06-30 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah.

[She laughs.]

That is a long and complicated story. Will it suffice to say simply alien technology? To be honest, I'm not a temporal physicist so not all of it makes sense to me, even though I was there to see it in action.
axiomed: (Falling out of love with you)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-01 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it can't be any stranger than people traveling back to their past selves using a mutant ability.
dancingmd: (coffee and croissants)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-01 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Or any stranger than being kidnapped to another universe to be on a reality show in space?
axiomed: (Our way through)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-01 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose there is that. Though the kidnapping part seems to be mandatory for these omniscient creatures.
dancingmd: (chinhands)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
So I've gathered, from the discussions I've had with other people who have been in a situation like this before.
axiomed: (You mean nothing to me anymore)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-02 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Though the idea of a reality show seems absurd, it doesn't mean it's not believable. All the creatures I've met had a fascination for observing humanity. And other variations.
dancingmd: (thinking)

[personal profile] dancingmd 2016-07-02 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I'm perfectly willing to believe we're here for their entertainment. I know more than one species both capable of and willing to do that.
