[ The feed shakes for a few minutes before it centers on a young thirteen year old boy. He has the trademark padawan braid and robes as he sits on his knees in front of the camera. His expression is quiet and muted, though it seems like he hasn't had much sleep. His eyes are red-rimmed and tired. ]

Hello. If you could tell me if this ship is heading to Coruscant, I would be grateful. If not, I'd be happy to earn my way there through any duties you deem necessary.

[ He hesitates, pausing for far too long, biting on his lip. ] And if you -- you have seen Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

[ Action ]

[ Obi-Wan weaves himself through the ship, his shoulders hunched and his saber in a tight white-knuckled grip. Surely Qui-Gon wouldn't have left him here . . . not after coming back. Not after their discussion.

Then again, what rights did Obi-Wan even possess?

He tugs the hood over his face and keeps a wary eye on everyone who came close. This was a strange vessel and their responses got even more confusing. Best to keep to himself until he got to Coruscant. ]

[Huh... someone new. Well, it is about that time of the week, albeit late. It's a little disconcerting to see him already armed, but judging by the man's expression, he's not handling this new situation very well. Mikleo tilts his head curiously as he watches the newcomer stalk through the hall, taking in his posture and appearance. Maybe he should grab Sorey so there's a friendly face to greet him? Seems like he needs it.

...Why does he look kind of familiar, though? Weird.]

[ Someone is here. Obi-Wan can make out a shadowy figure nearby. Should he attack?

Qui-Gon wouldn't approve of that. So he musters up his strength, not willing to show weakness. ]

Who's there?

[That's unexpected. There's a moment of silence as the surprise sinks in, but Mikleo shakes it off. He really shouldn't be shocked when this happens anymore.]

I'm sorry, it wasn't my intent to startle you. I didn't expect you to notice me.

[ He eyes him before relaxing a little. Whoever was talking did not feel like a threat. ]

No, the fault was mine. Who are you?

My name is Mikleo. I'm... technically the captain of this ship.

[Which continues to be weird to say, but what can you do?]

[ Oh, someone with authority. Obi-Wan hurriedly bows. ]

My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Thank you for letting me stay here.

Mikleo needs to take a moment with this new information, sizing the man up more carefully this time. With a name attached to the figure, that feeling of familiarity becomes recognition, albeit confused- this isn't the Obi-Wan he knows. It's as much the physical state as the attitude. He's never gotten such a guarded impression from the older man.

Another one of Atroma's tricks, then? It seems likely. Thankfully, his visible surprise is at least hidden.]

[ He waits, before asking carefully. ] Captain, where are we going? Do I need to pay more to get to Coruscant?

[Oh boy, looks like he's the one who gets to deliver that conversation. Is this the responsibility of a captain, or is it just his luck?]

I'll take it that means you don't remember anything about how you got here, then.

[ He frowns. ]

[ Had he been kidnapped? More pirates? Xanatos? ]

[Yes, sort of, who knows?]

Not necessarily, but it was worth asking.

All of us here are in the same situation. We've been abducted from our homes and imprisoned on this fleet of ships in order to entertain some unknown audience. Looks like you're the latest victim of their antics.

[Which is very obviously not a lie, judging by the look of him. He didn't even know they could do this sort of thing.]

[ Okay then. Obi-Wan has been kidnapped before. Nothing new here. ]

Who are responsible for this?

We know them only by the name "Atroma". I've never met them personally, though. They tend not to show themselves.

[ He murmurs to himself. ] It's not him then. . .

[Pardon the perpetually curious invisible kid.]

A . . . rival of my Master's. He's kidnapped me before.

I see... well, very few have spoken to our captors, and I don't think anyone's found them familiar. I don't think they pull in anyone who might know them.

Have they . . . demanded anything of us? Why aren't we collared? Are there implants?

[Mikleo taps his- oh wait, Obi-Wan can't see him. His annoyance is audible, though; he hates talking about the augments more than anything. It's still deeply disturbing to him.]

At the back of your head. They're called augments, and thus far they've been impossible to remove. Have you noticed any information out of place in your head since you arrived?

[ Obi-Wan shakes his head. ]

Nothing special. But being on a ship isn't new to me.

No, you, ah. Don't seem especially bothered by any of this.

[Well, he did say he'd been traveling the galaxy for a long time.]

The augment is supposed to give you knowledge about your duties on the ship, as well as basic information about our situation here. I can't say that it works perfectly, though. I was plenty confused when I arrived.

The last kidnapping was worse. They had shock collars on.

...I'm assuming that's as bad as it sounds.

[He's never heard of that before, but yikes, that name.]

[ He nods. ]

Thankfully, I wasn't there for very long.

That's... good, yes. And I imagine you'll find this place more tolerable. Besides our lack of freedom to leave the fleet, we can more or less do as we please.
