[ The feed shakes for a few minutes before it centers on a young thirteen year old boy. He has the trademark padawan braid and robes as he sits on his knees in front of the camera. His expression is quiet and muted, though it seems like he hasn't had much sleep. His eyes are red-rimmed and tired. ]

Hello. If you could tell me if this ship is heading to Coruscant, I would be grateful. If not, I'd be happy to earn my way there through any duties you deem necessary.

[ He hesitates, pausing for far too long, biting on his lip. ] And if you -- you have seen Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

[ Action ]

[ Obi-Wan weaves himself through the ship, his shoulders hunched and his saber in a tight white-knuckled grip. Surely Qui-Gon wouldn't have left him here . . . not after coming back. Not after their discussion.

Then again, what rights did Obi-Wan even possess?

He tugs the hood over his face and keeps a wary eye on everyone who came close. This was a strange vessel and their responses got even more confusing. Best to keep to himself until he got to Coruscant. ]

[He winces slightly at the Jedi being called "the Order". The word means something a little different to him.]

If you're following what it really means to be a Jedi, do you think they really won't let you back in?

[ He looks down. ] It's hard. I don't think I could be anything else but a Jedi.

Well, I think if you want it enough, then you'll end up there. And you are going back now, right? Or--whenever you get out of this place.

[ He nods. ]

Master Qui-Gon said he'll vouch for me.

Then you got a real good chance.

[ His shoulders slump, relaxing finally. ]

Yeah. Master Qui-Gon would help me.

[Oh, good. Finn flashes Kid Obi-Wan a smile.]

Good. I'm Finn, by the way.

[ He bows lightly. ]

Obi-Wan Kenobi.

[It's still weird as hell to hear him say it, so Finn can't hide the flash of concern across his features. Better change the subject.]

Never been to Coruscant myself. That's where the Jedi Temple is, right? What's it like there?

[ He pauses. ]

It's large. Peaceful. It stands out in Coruscant because the building itself doesn't look like the modern skyscrapers of the city.

But do you like it there?

[ He blinks. ]

It's my home.

Not just a place you live. You feel at home there.

[Right?]

[ He nods. ]

I think the Temple has that feeling about it. Jedi aren't meant to have homes, but it's close.

[Finn snorts lightly. Yeah, the First Order didn't want to give them a home either.]

It can be people as much as a place. People who make you feel like you belong.

I belong with the Jedi Order. I should have never left.

I think you're right about belonging there. But you also gotta do what you feel is right. Isn't that what sensing the Force is all about?

Yeah. . . . But the Force left me.

[Finn snorts rudely.]

Did it come back yet? Cause I have a feeling it will, if it didn't already.

[ He nods. ]

It was just then. Back on Melida/Daan. It left and I didn't know what to do.
