[ action only -- for anyone who might be keeping an eye on her while she's been unconscious ]

[ It's been a few days, and while she's been asleep, a few strange changes have occurred ... her face and hair a little longer, her body a little more filled out -- so on and so forth. A couple of days is no time at all when you're busy remembering a whole year or two worth of memories!

But tonight is when she suddenly groans and moves to sit up a little, face in her hands for a moment as she rubs her eyes. ... And then she's looking around. ]

... Wait. What?

[ broadcast; ]

[ A somewhat familiar -- but a little older looking -- blonde appears on the network. She takes a moment to fix her hair before she speaks. ]

Well ... hi again, everyone. I guess I'm back now? Super weird, but what else is new, right? -- Did I miss anything exciting?

[ino]

[ She stares blankly for a few worrying seconds, because she's just been somewhere he doesn't exist for a long time, and then ... ]

Tadashi?

[ She reaches up to clutch the sides of his face with her hands. ]

Tadashi! Oh my god.

[ishere]

[ he catches her hands with his, looking amused and a little baffled. sure, he realizes that she seems older, but the implications of that haven't quite caught up to him yet. ]

I'm guessing your head is fine, then. [ amused. ]

[ino]

I'm okay. I'm -- great.

[ She looks down, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment and taking a breath. Then, back up to him: ]

Well -- no. My head does kind of hurt. Did I leave ...?

[ishere]

You've been asleep.

[ he squeezes her hands softly, before standing up and moving to dim the lights. ]

Just for a few days. [ and it's probably clear that tadashi has built sort of a small... nest... in the room. ] I'll get you some water.

[ino]

[ Yeah, she's looking around now and noticing that. ]

... I didn't mean to worry you.

[ For some reason, she feels like Tadashi would be particularly bothered right now by something like this. What was it ... Hiro had left not too long ago last she remembered, right? There's so much information coming in between then and now, but she still feels there's something she needs to express. ]

I'm here now. I won't, again -- not without you.

[ishere]

[ it doesn't really make sense to him at first, and tadashi's expression is uncertain as he returns to the bed, taking a seat on the edge of it and handing her a bottle of water. and then -

oh. he gets it. she'd been home, hadn't she? for a while, if the way she'd changed were any indication, and suddenly he feels a little awkward. ]

Do, uh -

[ normally he'd handle this more smoothly, and even now he doesn't seem upset, just vaguely awkward. hiro returning has thrown him off entirely. ]

Do you want me to give you some space?

[ because she wouldn't have remembered him, would she? not while she was at home. ]

[ino]

[ She just blinks at that. ]

Huh? Why?

[ Once you've got the trust of a Yamanaka, there is no such thing as personal space. Also, she doesn't want to let him out of her sight right now, but the sweet talking there can wait.

She takes a sip of the water. ]

I'm okay, really. A little confused, but -- [ She pauses, thinking for a moment. ] I think that's pretty routine?

[ishere]

[ she's not the only one that's confused. he's missed her, and he wants to tell her that, or to kiss her, or touch her face, or something that boyfriends are supposed to be allowed to do, but he doesn't really know how all of this works. ]

Yeah, sure, but... it's been a while for you, right? Do you, uh - remember everything? About the Fleet?

[ino]

It's been ...

[ How long had it been? ]

... Two years, I think. But ...

[ She looks around again. ]

This is my ship, right? --It'll come back to me. I remember ... this happened once before. It was like I went home and remembered a bunch of things at once.

[ishere]

Yeah. It's the Three Twins.

[ he'd be more animated right now, or more talkative maybe, but he's strangely emotionally drained from hiro's return, and he suddenly can't help but feel a little out of place in his conversation with ino now. ]

You remembered my name, right? Tadashi Hamada? And Hiro is my younger brother.

[ino]

Of course I remember you guys.

[ She frowns, almost offended by the idea that she could possibly forget either of them. It's difficult to focus with all this noise in her head, but if there's anything Ino is good at, it's Fussing Over Her People, and she's noticing that there's something off in his expression. ]

Hey. C'mere.

[ She leans up to give him a kiss, in hopes it'll reassure him a little. ]

[ishere]

[ the relief is there, and it's nearly palpable when she kisses him. he leans just slightly into it, one of his hands reaching out to gently catch hers again. ]

Sorry. [ and he seems to mean it. ] Just trying to be... careful, I guess. It's been a long time for you. [ and it's not like he could blame her for moving on, especially considering she wouldn't have her memories of here in the first place. ]

[ino]

[ She squeezes his hand. ]

It has. But I'm really glad to see you. Really.

[ And now that he seems to be doing better, she relaxes a little. She lets out a sigh, and the hectic madness of the past few weeks at home suddenly hits her. ]

... Kind of glad for a little time off, too. It feels like I haven't really slept in weeks.

[ishere]

Then you should get some rest. Some actual rest.

[ he reaches up to brush her hair from her face, just because he can - and just because it's so good to see her awake again - before he lets his hand fall away. ]

And you can tell me about everything that happened over breakfast. Alright?

[ino]

I just got up, though ...

[ She laughs, though, because it's so contradictory. ]

I mean, maybe in a little bit. I don't think I could sleep just yet with everything going on. [ She makes a gesture towards her head. ] Too much to think about!

[ishere]

[ he nods as if he understands, even though the concept is honestly a little beyond his grasp. he can't actually imagine what it would feel like for this to happen. ]

Sure. Tell me about it, then?

[ino]

Um, well ...

[ Where to begin? Maybe why she's been so busy ... ]

Sakura and I have been working a ton lately. We're trying to get all of the paperwork and training taken care of to get the place open.

[ Right, he wouldn't know what place she's talking about. Working backwards, here ... ]

The hospital. I mean, the hospital we're trying to open ... It's going to be a mental hospital, for kids.

[ishere]

[ well, okay: that makes it hard for tadashi to feel literally anything but a surge of admiration and pride, and the smile he gives her is a pretty clear indicator of that. ]

That's incredible.

[ she's incredible, is what he seems to mean. ]

You're gonna help a lot of people.

[ino]

[ She can't help but preen a little under that smile. ]

There were a lot of younger kids that got involved in the war ... civilians who got caught in the destruction, or they lost their parents or their friends ... I think it'll help if they have someone to talk to.

[ Maybe they can prevent an army of tiny Sasukes. ]

Anyways, turns out there's a lot more to it than just laying claim to a building and putting a couple couches in it. Oh -- and Naruto and Hinata are gonna get married soon. It took the world nearly ending completely for them to get together, but I guess he's just that dense.

[ishere]

Naruto? Really?

[ not that tadashi had known him for long, but... ]

That's, uh - well, good for him, I think. [ he isn't going to let that first part go, though. ] The world nearly ended?

[ino]

Oh, yeah. That was, uh ...

[ Jeez. How to even explain this one. ]

Basically, we found out there was a shinobi living on the moon? He built this device that was making the moon move towards the Earth, with the goal of, you know, having it eventually hit it and destroy everything.

[ishere]

There were shinobi living on the moon.

[ he'll repeat that in the hopes that it'll make it more palatable eventually. and then... ]

How long was he there? Why would he even - what's the point of destroying everything?

[ it's not that he disbelieves. he just doesn't understand. ]

[ino]

I guess he was there for a really long time? We don't know for sure, though.

From what I heard, it sounded like he kidnapped Hinata-chan to marry her. Then they were gonna be put to sleep on the moon until the Earth was totally wiped out, and he was gonna like ... you know, repopulate it with her or something.

[ She grimaces. ]

Super creepy.

[ishere]

[ what the fuck ]

But who- was gonna wake them up?

[ino]

I think they would just automatically wake up, or something ... ?

I don't know. He was crazy. And I didn't see him, anyways, this is just what I heard from Sakura. I was down on Earth trying to keep everyone from losing their minds.
