[ he loves having friends who are similar to him now - cisco and hank, they're what he's always wanted. but going so far as to erase what sets them apart can turn pretty offensive. he knows that's not how kara would ever mean it, but it's a stressful environment and why take that chance? he's already having a hard time finding his place, he doesn't want to feel replaceable. ]

[ that's a lie he's always working. but no more paradoxes, he's got enough physics induced headaches to last a lifetime. ]

[ does that sound like he's turning vacation into work? it does, a little bit. which works because he's not really on vacation - he has a job on this planet, in addition to all his projects that are not going to be put on hold, in addition to wanting to explore the planet and give kitty all the dates he couldn't on the ships and hanging out with his friends...he's actually working harder than usual, but the key difference is - he's sleeping at night. solid ground beneath his feet, a real bed he can comfortably share with kitty because it's built for two - they make a huge difference.
