[ Action, Rogue's room on the Vanquish, and later around the ship. ]

[When Rogue woke up, she knew something was wrong. Little things were off about her room and when she tried to raise her head, her arms felt like noodles. What - what happened? Why was she so weak?

If anyone is in her room, she could probably use some help getting out of bed...

Later, she will be walking very slowly down the halls, leaning hard on the wall, in order to get to the kitchen. Has anyone seen her captain? Her co-chef? Her brother?]

All right, I'm up. I heard all the 'beauty sleep' jokes already, so try a new one. What'd I miss? Fill a gal in.

[She's hoping that this will also serve as a role call. After all, she's pretty sure it'd been over a month, and she knows how people come and go.]

"S'why I ought to walk," Rogue gritted. "Can't get any better lyin' ar-- shit," she stumbled and would likely crash to her knees if he didn't support her.

Support her he did, keeping her on her feet with no difficulty. "You also cannot get better if you tire yourself overmuch," he said dryly. "I think if our positions were reversed, you might be saying unkind things about my intelligence right now. Aren't you lucky that I am so much nicer than you?"

Rogue shut her eyes in frustration, swallowing back unjustified harsh words. "So lucky," she spoke through clenched teeth. Then she exhaled slowly and looked back up at him. "Remind me ta tease you 'bout that later." She gave him a lightning fast smile. "All right, Loki."

[complicatedliar]

"I shall look forward to it." He picked her up carefully, one arm around her shoulders and the other under her legs, and headed toward the kitchen again. "I'm certain at some point, I shall collapse into a sad pudding of a man and you shall have to carry me about in a bucket. You can look forward to it."

[touchofrogue]

"Are ya callin' me a sad pudding of a man?" Attempted indignation to hide very real humiliation...

...and an uncomfortable ping. Why would she look forward to it? Why would he say something like that? She couldn't help but remember when the spirit had spoken through him and accused her of only liking Loki as a miserable, broken thing. She hadn't thought of that in... years. Why would he say something like that?

[complicatedliar]

"I would never say such a thing, for a know very well you are no man." All woman, 100%. He was well acquainted with that fact.

For his part, it had been a joke. Being a sad pudding was leaps and bounds from being a thing utterly broken.

"Oh good," she was so tired, she rested her head on his shoulder. "I'm glad we've got that straightened out."

[complicatedliar]

"I didn't know if you were confused, after such a strange waking." They arrived at the kitchen and he deposited her gently one one of the seats.

Her head swam a little at the transference, and she gripped onto the edge of the counter. Yeah, she wasn't moving any time soon. "...do we have any coffee?"

"As a matter of fact, we do," Loki said. He moved to make a cup for her. "I will insist that you drink some regular water as well." She was no doubt dehydrated, among other things.
