[When Sokka turns on the feed he looks a mixture of annoyed and miserable. It's hard to tell, but if you squint, it seems annoyance is winning out. He is SO DONE right now. There is a strange looking bird perched on the back of his captain's chair, which seems disinterested in everything. He also appears to be eating some weird goop out of a bowl? Maybe it's ice cream?

(Spoilers: it's not ice cream)]

So for those of you keeping track, my world still seems the favourite for Most People Leaving In The Shortest Time Possible award. Both Zuko and Toph have gone. I even checked to see if Zuko was off emo-ing somewhere, but nope, he's gone.

[He waves his spoon at the screen and some of the greeny-goop drops from it with a wet splot. Sokka doesn't care, though. He's going into Rant Mode.]

As you can see, though, I'm still here! YEP. I don't go anywhere. I'm stuck here, forever. Nooooo going home for me. Nope. But hey, there's a girl from the future who's the reincarnation of my someday-dead friend, so wooooooooooo, I'm not completely alone. That's swell. Isn't that swell?

[That might be a bitter and slightly crazy laugh as he slouches back into his captain's chair, swinging it back and forth a little. Hawky screeches and flaps his wings a little, trying to regain some balance. Sokka reaches up to absently pat his little hawk head.]

Now all I need is Azula coming back and it'll be the best month ever.

I'm sorry. [Hey, we never really talked except for that one time, but she liked both the newly departed. She can relate to being the only one, that's for sure.] That's pretty rough. You still got friends here?

Thanks. And yeah, I got plenty of friends here, guess I'm lucky there.

They help. Still sucks when you lose people from home, but... [Mrg.] Friends can be distracting, at least.

They can be. Well, as much as they can when you're floating in space. But hey, my crew is pretty awesome, so I really can't complain about them.

[...] Zuko was kind of a jerk, but a likable one. And Toph helped me out. [And was a fellow snark partner besides.] So I'll miss them.

Really? She must have liked you, she won't just help anyone.

If it helps, they're doing pretty okay back home. I mean...Zuko's got a lot to deal with but things are still...better? I guess? And Toph's got some good stuff happening for her.

That's good to know.

You've been stuck here a while, huh?

Uh yeah. I showed up a few weeks after this cycle started. So... just over a year and a half.

[namisan]

Has Toph been here all that time?

[alwayscomeback]

Nah, Toph showed up last June, I think it was. I was the only one from my world here for the first five months.

[namisan]

I feel you there. I had a couple people from my world right at the start, but they're long gone.

[alwayscomeback]

Really? That sucks. Makes you wonder why some of us are left behind, doesn't it? What makes us special?

[namisan]

Maybe we're the ones left behind because the audience eats up our reaction to everyone leaving.

[She doesn't think there's rhyme or reason to it tbh. Luffy is way more interesting than she is, and he's the one that went home.]

Ugh, you're right. That's probably exactly it. Rude.

I hope you see them again soon. One way or the other. [It might be selfish to wish you had people from home here, but fuck it.]

Yeah, me too. Though-

I still don't know if they actually go home. When they vanish from here.

I think they do. There's a couple people who've been back and forth who have clearly gone home and are surprised to find themselves back here. Though I grant you they could've just been deep-sleeping on the Marsiva or something, but... think positive, right?

That's the thing. I went home and came back with years worth of memories. They could easily just...put people into a deep sleep somewhere.

When I asked Atroma about it they just wouldn't answer it properly. Just said they were 'safe'.

[He snorts out a sardonic laugh. ]

Yeah if you're looking for a positive outlook, you're talking to the wrong guy.

I'm gathering. [Dryly. Can't blame you, Sokka.]

I grant there's a whole lot here that could be the worst case scenario. I won't dismiss any of it, but I won't dwell on it, either. [Not more than, y'know, that one hour or two at night sometimes.] I'd rather hope for the best and look for ways to make the hope a reality.

Ugh.

You'd get on great with a friend of mine back home. Still, I don't know, I don't trust Atroma all that much. We'll only ever know when we leave ourselves, though, so-

[It's true. Nami and Aang have been fantastic friends in other games.]

I'm just trying not to be bitter. [But she grins a little anyway.] It's smart not to trust them. And I'll work on my own way home, but I refuse to believe I won't ever see my friends again.

[alwayscomeback]

Oh yeah. I'm going to do whatever I can to make sure I see my friends and family again. These jerks aren't gonna keep me away from them.
