[Takeshi's very focused this month; he's been trying to keep things in line and work on being a good captain! Gendry is super annoying and he's got a weird triangle man in his ship apparently (and a blue lady, but what's new), but hey! New people! Gotta make good impressions. He moves to comment on the fleet's feed, partly toward his crew at first, but then to people at large. It's a little funny, because he's got crayons and papers around, kids drawings hung up in the background, which is a bit funny in contrast to his serious expression.]

Hi! I'm Takeshi of the SS Golden! I was just made captain; I'll do my best t'be a good captain, even if I never been one before. I don't wanna let Miss Hera down.

I was gonna ask people on the Golden if they wanna help make the ship nicer; I'm gonna use some of my money - I don't use my money for a lot of stuff... and I can make things a little better, especially the kitchen...! If you can help work on parts of the ship so we can get better and better stuff, let me know! We can make it a kitchen with more things in it, or more shuttles, or more room...

... We don't got any pilots, which is kinda bad. We can't pilot things as good without pilots. But we got a lab and lots of guns!

Make sure you got a gun and you practice with it, make sure you're real good with your aim and you know how to carry it!

[He thinks that's good enough.

To the remainder of the fleet, he has an inquiry!]

I know I still got a lot t'learn! Do you guys got anything to say for someone trying to be a good captain?

What kinda' group was it?

It was leading a group of teenage boys who are mutants, such as myself, people with different types of powers, but I was also a principal of a high school as well. [Because that worked out so well...]

You are correct however, it would be nice if we could have more diversity in regards to skills on the ship. Being well armed is one thing yet we do have a level of, for lack of a better word, over kill when it comes to that.

... Oh, yeah!

[He gives pause, considering.]

Do you got a daughter here? Are you friends with Charles and Erik and the other mutants?

[A daughter? Mystique hadn't spoken about Rogue to him, or anyone on the crew. How would he kno-

Oh, Raven. Of course. Although she wasn't sure if it was her place to out Raven like this, unsure how open the other 'her' was on her mutation.] What makes you ask if I have a daughter? And yes, I am friends with Charles and, [Ugh, at times.] Erik, and I know of the other mutants in the Fleet.

I just thought maybe you did, 'cus someone here is blue with the same color hair as you!

We went swimming in a hot spring and we talked about families.

[Well that certain confirmed who he was talking about.] Raven is not my daughter, she's a version of myself from another universe. We may look similar but we have many differences as well.

Oh...

.... You're kinda the same person? That must feel real weird.

Yes, it's very weird. [More than Mystique was going to go into with a child, or anyone really, bar maybe Raven herself.] However I haven't been the only one who has gone through such a situation here, I know at least one, or two, others who have had the same issue raised and met other versions of themselves.

Huh... I don't know what I'd do.

I guess I'd wanna be their friend and know if they're safe at home!

['Safe' was hardly a suitable word for a mutant, let alone her it seemed, in her or Raven's world. They were constantly at war, a silent one or one that the public knew about, it came with being 'different'.] A very noble choice. [Her own choice was torn between wanting to scorn and hate the younger version of her for having a better life that she had, and wanting to help train her for whatever dangers she would meet in the future.

It was a tough choice to make.] A trait that most look for in a captain.

[He smiles, a bit shy. He's a modest little cap'n.]

I hope I can have good captain's traits...

I'll look out for both of you! You and Raven! Then you're both more safe.

[Mystique bit her tongue with that, tempted to comment on he would need all the help he could get with the misfits of a team they had on the Golden. Then again, just having a captain would be helpful, provided everyone would accept Takeshi's leadership and... good god, being led by a child. It was... something she never thought would happen.]

Thank you Takeshi, that's very nice of you. [She could play nice, after all it wasn't like Mystique wasn't use to being around children, she did actually manage to raise one of them, even if things went to hell shortly after. Plus there was no point in causing conflict on their ship right now, not with how confined their little Fleet community was.]
