[Some of the older fleet members may recognize Allen coming on the screen, in his lab for yet again, one of his video messages. He at least seems to be getting more comfortable at the idea of speaking in front of the camera- or more likely from the slightly tired tone in his voice, he's too tired from dealing with the antics of his energetic captain to give many damns]

Hello everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Allen Walker-, the lab assistant on the S.S. Blue Fish. Just a few quick things today I'd like to say!

First of all, some of you may have noticed odd behaviors from your crewmates recently. The source of this is believed to be some malfunction from our augment implant. Luckily, I've done some scans and while there seems to be unusual activity - I haven't detected any actual brain damage so far! Beyond that, there's a lot I still don't know, I'll let you know if I learn anything else on the matter.

Second of all, due to the coming of the romantic holiday on some worlds called Valentine's Day, the augment malfunctions and the moons in this system- I'd like to go over some things to keep in mind for an easier month:

[He starts numbering them off with his finger as he talks.]

1. Please remember not to eat or drink anything if you don't know where it came from.

2. Some of the malfunctions seem to be causing....sudden attraction to other people that did not exist previously. Please keep that in mind before you make any impulsive...er, romantic decisions.

3. And if you ignored #2 and you decide to compulsively get married, I...highly recommend you check the divorce and annulment policies in this area of space. Just... [He hesitates before shaking his head] believe me on this one. It might save you a lot of trouble in the future.

[There's a pause as he looks a bit confused, but then he sighs and seems even relieved]

But no, I'm afraid I'm not kidding about the warnings.

There's...a man on my ship that looks just like you, named Alex. [a beat] We don't get along.

[To put it lightly]

Of course. What good does a vague warning ever do?

[ Pause. ] It's that guy, isn't it? With the other guy? [ Wait no. ] On the network a few days ago. I didn't get too close of a look, but...

[ It was kind of freaky and he noped out. ]

Works for a wider audience?

Yes, probably. It's probably for the best you didn't get a good look.

[Yeah, don't blame you at all Chris]

...But this warning works for everyone in the fleet.

[ It's almost funny because if words ever really starts to spread that Chris is a demon they'll probably go for Alex first. Because Alex acts like it more. ] Uh-huh. Kind of stay away for my own good sort of thing?

Does it? I think there's been more going on than just whirlwind romances. Actually, I hope there has been.

[ He won't be able to deal if this happens to his dad. Just no okay. ]

Mm, exactly. [Because he's an arsssse]

These aren't romances, really. It's people feeling sudden artifical infatuation for certain people. And from my experiences, when that happens it can bring on a whole world of trouble they'll regret the next week.

[misconceived]

Okay, how often do you experience this kind of thing?

...[a sigh] All too often.

The marriages just happened somewhere I stayed for awhile.

Ah- yes, I think so. You're American, I take it?

Paradisa. It was a place that not unlike Atroma, would take people across worlds at its whim.

Yeah, Californian. Accent's pretty obvious, right?

[ They don't call him bitchy and neurotic for nothing. ]

You're telling me there's more than one... force out there that does this kind of thing?

Ah...I'm afraid so, yes.

[ At least he's laughing at it. ]

Maybe we should introduce the two, see what happens.
