first solo mission

Who: Cassandra Cain
Broadcast: video
Action: marsiva
When: 2/10

[All things considered, Cass is taking this weird as fuck field trip pretty well. She had learned that people could go up into space, and the very basics of what space is. It's been something that fascinated her from an early age and now, any misgivings about how safe it may or may not be are overwritten by how exciting this is.

She's standing up against a window with both hands on it, peering out into the vastness of space with an expression that can only be called wonder on her face.

She's also wearing a skin tight batsuit as she does this, like it's totally normal to walk around in something like that. The cowl is off though. Who needs secret identities when you've already been kidnapped?]

Always liked the stars. I know some... of the pictures they make. The bear, and the spoon. [Otherwise known as Ursa Major and, you know, the Big Dipper. For people keeping track.] Never thought I'd... be this close, though. It's cool.

Oh, uh. I'm Batgirl. Or just Cass. Both are fine. [And then she waves. Like you do.] Hi.

Interesting! [But she drops it for the moment. Rests her face against her knuckles for a moment more, and then tilts her head back to laugh.]

Well, seeing the different planets we stop at, for one! The first one wasn't exactly one to sing about, but fascinating in its own right! The second and third ones were even more interesting! Just recently, we visited a planet with a forest that projected illusions!

Fake pictures that are intangible - that you can't touch. And I believe that the forest itself was telepathic. It seemed to draw memories and images from inside the head of whoever entered it. People saw different things. Interesting, huh?

[She kind of figured. But it's clearly not that Cass is stupid, she can gather already - that's an intelligent question, albeit a somewhat limited vocabulary.]

Everyone could see everyone's! Or hear whatever the vision was, as the case may be - they were very convincing.

[It was rather bad... bad enough. But Hange's enthusiasm doesn't seem dampened at all. Well, where she stands, you can't let something like a little brain invasion stop you.] Oh, well, there was no physical interface. Nothing you could touch. I suppose someone might have fallen on their face and chipped a tooth if they tried running away from it too carelessly, but I don't believe anyone was physically damaged by the planet.

It makes you wonder how that was managed, though! I've never run into trees or plants that can do that kind of thing before in my life. Truly fascinating! I took plenty of samples from there, though. If I grow them I wonder if their abilities will hold true?

Oh, well, finding out new things is always a little dangerous!

[She's just not dampened at all. And she is talking pretty fast! She's making a bit of an effort to explain things for Cass, though... although she always gets carried away sometimes.]

After all, those visions weren't truly dangerous in and of themselves. True danger came in the reactions of others to them. I suppose someone could get scared and clock themselves on a low-hanging pipe on the ships, but we'd just have to be prepared, haha! I think it might be worthwhile if we could somehow open communication too. What a fascinating idea!
