004 - My Funny Valentine

[Okay, so the date's wrong, but Sokka in his hyperactive state didn't pay much attention to the details anyway. What was important to him, was that there was a celebration honouring the one you loved and that needed to be addressed.

So, he waves excitedly at the camera, trying to focus it on...an odd 'statue' in the cargo bay of the Blue Fish. He'd considered putting it together on one of the moons, but that would have just been weird, so in the ship he went. It doesn't really look like anything, except for a weird blob made of of bits of melted metal. For some reason, it's holding a fan.]

HEY GUYS!!! I know that Vahl-in-tynes thing is ...soon? Soon! So I made this statue for the lady of my heart, Suki!

[It doesn't look like a lady. It doesn't even look human.]

So Suki is a pretty awesome gal. She kicks butt all the time, and usually does it with just a fan, isn't that amazing? She's part of this all girls warrior group and she could kick all your butts with her hands tied behind her back. AND she's beautiful and smart to boot!

[He winks at the camera] Baby, I know you can't see this, but I miss you and I really hope you're okay, I'll be back before you know it.

[Sokka doesn't notice, or he;s pointedly ignoring the snorts. It's hard to tell. He starts humming, loudly, re-arranging the bits of cloth that make the creation's 'hair'. ]

[After a few of Sokka's attempts to "improve" his creation, Adachi can't hold it back anymore. He's laughing, uproariously. It'd been a while since he had any dumbass kids like this one to entertain him.]

[He slowly turns to look at the camera. Like an owl. ]
Are you laughing?!!!!

[Adachi was wondering if the kid could hear him. He had kinda hoped that he would continue to be ignored and that this little show would continue, but it looks like he's gone and ruined his own fun. Oh well, I guess this will have to serve as a reminder that these communicators have pretty damn good reception.]

Huh? Oh me? Yeah. Sorry, it's just- [He looks again at the "statue" still on screen, and it takes everything he has to not fall back into hysterics. Instead, Adachi manages to choke out the last two words.] too funny.

[And with that, Adachi's back in hysterics. Like full-on a doubled over, clutching his gut, laughing fit here.]

Oh man, it just gets better and better.

Okay, well you're just being plain cruel now.

[Adachi finally manages to stop and catch his breath. He's still doubled over a little, but he's holding his hand up in a give me a minute gesture.]

[Once he's caught his breath and feels as though he's able to control himself, Adachi finally offers his insincere condolences.]

Sorry, sorry. Hope I didn't cause too much offense. [Actually, he could care less about how much offense he caused, but that's not what people like to hear.] So are arts and crafts one of your major hobbies? [Keep it together Adachi, keep it together.]

[Luckily, his energy is too great to waste on speculation, so he lets it slide.]

[Oh, god. It hurts trying to NOT laugh. This kid is too hilarious.]

And do you often use your "girlfriend" [No air quotes with his fingers, but he does pause noticeably before saying the word.] as a subject for your [Another pause.] "pieces?"

Uh huh. I love her a lot, so I like to show her through my heart.

[Sokka looks at the abomination, considering. ]

[And that was it, Adachi is back to laughing hysterically. He's literally rolling on the floor, clutching his stomach. This kid is just so stupid. It's too damn funny. In between bouts of laughter, Adachi manages to choke out a few words, like "Oh man..." "You can't be serious..." "Can't stop..." "Oh my sides..." and other such lines. He doesn't look like he'll be stopping anytime soon either.]

[...Yep and Sokka is going to just turn off the feed before he says something he'll regret. ]
