004 ♛ Video;

Who: Daenerys Targaryen
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Aoard the Caprine
When: Now

[Daenerys addressed the network, still looking a little worn around the edges despite her time asleep. She felt as if she hadn't moved from her bunk in days. In her hands rests the device, pointed towards her face and atop her shoulders rests one lazily dozing dragon. Drogon's black scales had a bit of a copper and red glint to them in the lights cast about her room, his eyes were closed and his wings were curled in close to him. His clawed hands clung to her shoulder while his feet dangled over her back, hidden by her hair. Across the other shoulder, the very end of his tail could be seen. He was draped neatly around her neck where he could rest comfortably.]

I apologize to anyone who may have been inconvenienced by my mishap. My absence from was not intended, though I have no idea how long exactly I was asleep. This is my first time experiencing such a state. Should anyone from the other ships wish to brief me I can be found at my post aboard the Caprine.

[A smile and she reaches with one hand to stroke the end of Drogon's tail. His wings fluttered, sensing the disturbance.]

And this is Drogon. He is one of the dragons whom I call my children, born of a funeral pyre originally, but reborn and returned to me by the Tree that gave us gifts. Perhaps some day Drogon's brothers will join us but for now he is all that remains to me of my home.

[Drogon's hands stretched sleepily and in his attempt to awaken he fell clean from his perch on her shoulder and down her back. With a loud raptor-like shriek, Drogon shot into the air, out of the video's view and out of sight somewhere above Dany's head. He wasn't happy to have been woken up. Thanks for that, Mom. :|]

Private Message: Tyrion Lannister

Lord Tyrion, if you wish to meet him in person, you are welcome to at your earliest convenience, though I don't know that he'll be quite ready to receive guests beyond yourself. He's still adjusting to the ship, I think.

[Another loud screech and Drogon dive bombed back into view, landing in a heap in her lap. Looking down, Dany coos at him, trying to console him.]

Shh, shh... you're with me... you're just fine, sweetling.

[She smiles, bringing her gaze back to the device.]

Be prepared for him to be a bit difficult. He is a child, after all.

Action

[The Caprine crew can find their Captain up and about, checking on various stations throughout the ship and finally stopping in awe of their new gardens. The lemon tree in particular received her adoration. She was excited to be able to harvest it and perhaps task Qing with making lemon cakes to send to one Sansa Stark as a bit of a peace offering between her and the girl and her brothers.

Drogon alternated between remaining perched on her shoulder, tucked beneath an arm, or flying a few inches beside her head. He made soft hissing and rasping noises on occasion, not displeasured at the moment into full on screeching. Having him around made her smile more brightly, her step more upbeat. If anyone in the crew or visiting the ship should happen upon her they would be greeted by him as well.
]

Drogon, sweetling, don't wander too far...

[Not an easy command to follow for a baby dragon in a new place.]

Robb's skull is thicker than the Wall itself.

[ His words are mocking, but he clearly still has a great deal of fondness for Robb, as his wry smile proves. If there's something Theon regrets most about his betrayal, it's that his friendship with Robb has been all but destroyed. ]

I would tell you that he'll come around and realize what an idiot he is, but that could take him years.

[ No need to be jealous anymore. He severred his ties with all of them when he took Winterfell--though he is doing his best to repair those relationships. The Starks are just very stubborn. ]

He should. [ After all, Theon is hilarious. ] But I fear that he doesn't find them quite as amusing as I do.

He didn't used to be. Not all the time, at least.

[ That was before he became King in the North. ]

He had some relatively funny japes about Roose Bolton and his leeches. You'll have to ask him to tell you them sometime.

[ But he pauses, eyebrows knitting together. For a brief moment, he had forgotten about Roose's betrayal. ]

Or perhaps, don't.

My word is as good as any. He would object now, but I knew him as well as a brother.

[ Doubts begin to flare in his mind, trying to force him to recognize that Robb was never truly his brother, but he won't acknowledge them. Not right now. He'll save that for later. ]

If you ask me, he's under the impression that Kings and lords all lack a sense of humor.

You've met me.

[ Despite all his doubts and upsets, he manages to crack a smirk. ]

Or do you just care to erase that from your memory?

[ Theon has been finding it increasingly difficult to speak to Robb himself, but that may have less to do with humor and more to do with their broken friendship. Regardless, he can see how kingship has changed Robb. He's colder now, sterner, much like Lord Eddard himself.

Theon isn't particularly fond of it.
]

Aye, I would agree, but should you ever arrive in Westeros, you'll find most of your conversations unpleasant. The lords of the North are all dry and humorless.

[ He should know. He's come up with enough japes about all of the Stark bannermen to fill a book. ]

Dozens of Robb Starks. I cannot think of a worse nightmare. [ Besides his real nightmares. ]

The Boltons are a house all their own. They would still practice flaying if Lord Eddard hadn't disallowed it. Perhaps they still do so in secret.

[ He's been holding up well, but his expression seems to crack as he turns the conversation back to the Boltons. The son is just the shadow of the father, his thoughts are certain to remind him. If Ramsay is ruthless, Roose can only be worse. Theon is still terrified. ]

You need only worry about Lord Bolton and his son. The other lords are merely cold and humorless, but can be reasoned with.

Just as cold and humorless as them, but not nearly so ruthless.

[ The ironborn are practically built upon ruthless traditions, but they don't consider themselves to be true Northmen. They're seafarers, ironmen, Theon knows his roots, he knows what his people have done, but nothing makes him sick to his stomach quite like the thought of skin being flayed from a living human's bones. ]

Most of what Bran told you was likely only of Winterfell. Until recently, the little lord had never been away from home.

[ And whose fault is it that he had to leave, Theon? He's smart this time, though. He doesn't allow himself a moment to stop and wallow in his guilt. He continues quickly. ]

Most of the Northmen still honor the Old Gods, and almost all of them are resistent to change. They were only willing to accept Robb as their king because of an old tradition. The Starks ruled the North long ago as kings. [ One of them was my namesake, he thinks to mention, but he dashes that away quickly. ] Never mind that the lords of my house once ruled as kings as well.
