we can only learn what we're given the ability to learn.
the atroma controls that, too. there is no escaping that.

perhaps they are only interested in that. in teaching us what they have decided is worthwhile.

An interesting thought. Truly, there is little known in what our abysmal captors have intended or monitored.

As Ordis has said, he finds things very situational. There is knowledge here that was previously unknown, and if it is tampered with he would like to make a game of sorts of uncovering what exactly is being hidden from us.

and what will be done with us once that knowledge has been found?

We may only infer. Perhaps we bite back against those who kept it from us in the first place.

or perhaps we will die, if we are able.

I think killing them all is the best option.
