[ But he's not too sure the fox is capable of learning the right things to do. Isaac shrugs, and actually picks up the wolf pup carefully, holding it to his chest as he starts away from the cargo bay. ] I guess it's probably not that different from your ship. Which one are you on again?
[ Mostly because she smells a little like wolf and, hey, a little like death. No big deal. Lauralae watches Lazarus carefully, but nods in acceptance as she steps up to walk alongside Isaac. ]
I am stationed aboard the 'Starstruck'. I believe those are the correct terms.
[ Newton gets into everything, and especially likes Isaac's room for some reason. A fox unafraid of wolves. ]
Yeah, you said that right. That's a cooler name than this one. This is the Wonderduck. The rooms are down there, which I guess, uh, we could watch the movie there. The rec room is pretty big and our kitchen is nice. The ship I was on before this had really low ceilings, and I hit my head a lot.
[ Which is all she can really say on the matter, all circumstances considered. Careful, she follows along, the hood of her robes hanging around her neck and her hair covering her ears. Tilting her head, she blinks as she stares down at the rooms, nodding. ]
It is much like our ship. They are all similar, only some are larger than others.
Yeah, it's just a normal ship I guess. It's still kind of weird that we're in space.
[ He shrugs and looks back over his shoulder at her once they've done the grand tour. The Rec room is probably the best, with its upgrades, but even then, it's just one more space ship. ]
So, I got a few movies picked out, you can read what they're about and see what sounds good or something?
[ She knows that, certainly, and it means she can tilt her head up to focus on Isaac. It's strange, to be wandering around a new ship with a stranger, but they have spoken... And he has been kind. Most noticeable is the fact that Lazarus likes him despite the scent of new wolf and different pack, and that is something she will have to grow used to, in time.
The ships are all near enough the same, so her attention can rest on him easily. ]
That sounds acceptable. I shall choose from your selection.

I mean the movies are on the tablets and stuff so we can see. I mean, there's nothing too fancy and I have watched a lot of them. It can get kind of boring on this ship after awhile.
[ He shrugs and guides her down the corridor where the rooms are, and opens the door for his own. ] I wish we had normal doors. [ And he starts down the ladder. His room is mostly neat, and there are some posters and things on the walls, all from alien planets and moons. There are even some feathers about, where his best friend is inconveniently molting everywhere. ]
I can imagine. They are small, and compact, and there are too many people.
[ One extra person is too many people to Lauralae. But she follows, sliding down the ladder, and the idea of being alone in a room with a boy is lost on her. Instead, she simply nods her head, looking around. ]
[ Isaac sets the wolf pup down on his bed, where it's likely to smell fox and bird. There's a lot of animal activity on the Wonderduck. He moves to his tablet and starts clicking through the titles. ]
Uh, you wanna pick one that looks good to you?
[ It's a catalog of what is on the ship that shows on the screen. ] I've pretty much seen most of them.
[ Lazarus seems to be enjoying himself, wandering around and hopping from place to place as he sniffs out the other things, but Lauralae's attention is focussed entirely on the tablet. If the pup needed her he would call, and so she leans over to look at the list of films. ]
I do not know what would be entertaining.
[ She leans down, taking a peek as she presses closer. ]
[ Isaac shrugs a little, looking through the titles. He's come upon a cartoon section of the list. ]
These are pretty okay, they're Disney. [ He tries to remember which of the movies is happiest. In the end he just picks one. ] Uh, Snow White. We can try that.
[ Isaac will get used to her strange way of speaking one day. So he sets up his tablet and hits play. The opening music starts and Isaac plops beside Lauralae. ]
At least he listens. [ The wolf pup is kind of cute, actually. ]
