[Kitty was not expecting a surprise birthday party because while it is the date of her birth, her last birthday was about seven months ago because abductions that can happen from any time make things weird. And then there's also the part where Winn got attacked by Sascha and she and Winn had their first significant fight and things have been on the rough side. Of course, with people like Winn and Pinkie Pie in her life she really should have known better.

So, here we are on The Tourist with dancing in the cargo hold. Winn's phone is playing mustic amplified by Cisco's speakers. There are snacks, beverages, and cake in the kitchen. With Pinkie Pie helping out and some of the stores of food they built up from the time on the hand holding planet you can expect better-than-spacefood quality. And if you need more privacy, Winn opened his room up, but he did include a sign that says no making out complete with a disappointed frowny face, so you would never! Probably.

Enjoy the party! Kitty is turning 20 years and 7 months today? Yeah, there may be another birthday party for her coming up. She's probably doomed to have two per year. Of course you have to get gifts for both!]

[ he quirks a brow, both interested to learn that kiss existed in both their earths and to find out something new about her taste.

KISS, really? [ he waits for the song to be over cuz changing it while other people are dancing seems rude, and then heads over to his phone and picks one, singing along as he dances her way back to her with exaggerated head motions ]

Yes, really. You're not allowed to mock my choices and then sing along to them. [She doesn't actually seem that upset about either. She's enjoying this party thing. And by the way she manages to sing along to it too it's pretty clear it is the same band.]

[ he doesn't really feel like mocking her anyway - it's so nice to see her happy. and singing along. ]

Did you ever do the makeup thing?

No. [A little elongated as if he's silly.]

[ s l o w grin. it's nice to imagine kitty being a die hard fan of something, like most teenagers, doing a version of cosplay as a tribute to her favorite band. it's nice to imagine good things. ]

[Die hard might be a little strong. She enjoyed them and had a poster and she enjoyed the theatrics of their stage presence.] You're just going to have to imagine it.

[ he closes his eyes ]

I am - it's adorable.

[That earns a laugh. It feels like it's been awhile since she laughed. Maybe it's already happened at this party but she's glad to do it again if that's the case.] No, you.

No, no no, if you were seeing inside my head you'd agree - definitely you.

I was pretty cute. [Leans in to kiss him.]

[ he kisses back ]

Mmmhm. Incorrect use of past tense.

[Faux gasp.] You think I'm cute?

[ he quirks a brow ]

You know you're adorable.

You caught me. [She kisses him.] Now, no letting me go. [She manages to say this casually without really fearing he might at least in the moment.]

When do I get part two?

Not ever.

[ he smiles and caresses her arm. ]

After the party. Part two is private.

[Arm caressing is nice. You can keep doing that. He's getting a fond look for it. For all of it.] Oooh, so not naked-private like part three, but still private enough for alone time. Interesting.

And that's the only hint you're getting.

[ he smiles and kisses her cheek ]

You're just gonna have to be patient and enjoy your party.

Have you ever met me? [Patient? Come on. But she still smiles silently accepts the waiting.]

So, people have been bringing me presents. [Which is weird.] And I got one I'm not sure I should accept. [Don't worry it isn't a bad thing. Well, kind of, but lightly bad. More like naughty? Nothing that should cause a lot of angst. At least she'd be surprised if it did.]

[ he frowns curiously at that and tilts his head. ]

What'd you get?

[ something she's not sure she should accept - did tyrion give her something inappropriate? because he may be too stressed out to care. ]

Um...pot? [She laughs.] As in to smoke, not as in to cook in.

I've never...

[winn]

...seriously?

[ he's never even seen pot. there's a little itch there, to try it - but with his luck all he'll get is just more paranoid. ]

Where'd anyone even get that from - [ is there a secret pot farm on one of the ships? because that...that would be kind of impressive, in a horrifying sort of way. ]

She said she grew it. [Probably in her room on the Tourist. So closer than you think.] I accepted it for now. She said to just give it back if I didn't like it. [But she wouldn't try it alone either.]

She also gave me cigarettes. [Which she gave up out of necessity here. Remy implied there weren't any. It was longer before she figured out that there were, but they were space cigarettes and by then she was through the worst of it. But she's always relied on them at her most stressed and they sound kind of heavenly right now, but she's not sure how Winn will feel about it since he hasn't really known her as a smoker.]
