[Kitty was not expecting a surprise birthday party because while it is the date of her birth, her last birthday was about seven months ago because abductions that can happen from any time make things weird. And then there's also the part where Winn got attacked by Sascha and she and Winn had their first significant fight and things have been on the rough side. Of course, with people like Winn and Pinkie Pie in her life she really should have known better.

So, here we are on The Tourist with dancing in the cargo hold. Winn's phone is playing mustic amplified by Cisco's speakers. There are snacks, beverages, and cake in the kitchen. With Pinkie Pie helping out and some of the stores of food they built up from the time on the hand holding planet you can expect better-than-spacefood quality. And if you need more privacy, Winn opened his room up, but he did include a sign that says no making out complete with a disappointed frowny face, so you would never! Probably.

Enjoy the party! Kitty is turning 20 years and 7 months today? Yeah, there may be another birthday party for her coming up. She's probably doomed to have two per year. Of course you have to get gifts for both!]

[He chortled softly, before he handed over the last package, the one that was somewhere in the middle. When she opened it, she would find a fine blade, with a native metal handle.] I know you have your claw -- but with everything that has been going on ... well. You never can be too careful.

And you were worried about jewelry and outerwear? Weapons are the real intimate gifts. [She smiles but there is something a little further away in her eyes for the moment as she looks at the blade and thinks about his reasoning for getting it. But she isn't going to focus on that now. She repackages it safely and then adjusts herself to better hug Tyrion.] Thank you for everything. [Not just the three gifts or even coming. Just being him. Being a friend.]

I do not know what I was thinking ... giving you something that could cut someone in half. [He looks at her, before he quirks a little sad smile, before he went to hugged her tightly.] You are welcome, my friend.

Well, it is full penetration after all. [Should she be making jokes like that while hugging him? Meh, if not with him then who?] Thanks. [The friend part is the best gift anyway. And she'll hug a little longer.] Dance with me?

As if I would give you anything less? [Seriously Kitty, you should know better. Especially with the gleam in Tyrion's eyes.] You are welcome. [He takes her hands, and nods.] I would be honored.

[She straightens back up, more or less. She takes his hand.] You remember how? [Like the time they danced together with him dancing on air because of her powers.]

As if I could ever forget. [He weaved his fingers through hers, smiling up at her.] Let me know when you are ready.

I was born ready to dance with you. I mean, yes, my parents probably thought that was weird seeing as we didn't know each other and I couldn't even hold my head up on my own, but totally true. Go ahead. You're phased.

Why Kitty, are you saying we were destined to dance beneath the stars? How poetic of you. [He smirked as he stepped up, and then up again, to take her into his arms and start to move them around the dance floor, two feet in the air.]

A poetic ballerina. How did I ever get home without someone beating me up as a kid? [She falls easily into step with him even if a dance with this kind of unusual positioning is something of a challenge. Not her first time facing it though.]

I assume you simply charmed them with your smile and wit. Or is that just me? [He smirked a little, as they made the steps look easier for both of them than they actually were.]

Maybe you're just extremely easy to charm. You should work on that. [Don't work on it. Don't change.]

Then I will have to be very careful with my words. [Her hand strays from his shoulder over to a lock of hair to tug very gently as she smiles at him.] The walls don't deserve such things.

It's true. What wall honestly deserves a giant dwarf shaped dent in it? [Tyrion mused, even though his fingers flexed at her waist, and he gave her a warm smile as she tugged on his curl.]

Now I feel like I should be telling you that any wall would be lucky to be dented by you and it's getting odd so I'll just ask how you've been. I haven't been getting out much. [Watching over Winn after the attack.]

I have been ... complicated. [He gave her a crooked smile, and a shrug.] Something Winn and I talked about before - about being 'friend-zoned'. There is Dany, she is back, she is sharing things with me but not ... I with her? Or rather I think I am not sharing enough and that is why she does not share more of herself with me.

[She tenses slightly at the mention of friend zoning. Thinking he was going to bring her up maybe. She's more surprised to hear Dany's name and in this context.] Do you want to share more with her?

I do. [He's honest about it, and if there is anyone he can be honest with, it is Kitty.] She is ... well. She is everything I could ever dream of. [His Dragon Queen, fierce yet gentle, strong yet willing to trust if you earned it. That he had meant a great deal to both of them.]

I ... honestly just have not found the moment. My past, as you know, is a dark one. I am a murderer, after all, and some very other unsavory things.

You shared with me the first day we met. But I guess it's different when you're already invested in someone. [She has a harder time admitting things to Winn than she did to Tyrion that day. But then they also react very differently.]

Do you think her past is all kittens and butterflies?

Well, to be honest, the first time we met I - [He stopped, before he cleared his throat. Let us not go into why Tyrion had been so frank with Kitty. It was ... a trifle embarrassing now.] - at any rate, I am ... prepared to be as open with her as she is with me.
