I do hope you all know how to dance. I have managed to secure an open invitation for myself, and however many guests I wish, to a gala in seven days, on Adsum. Hopefully it's not entirely dull, but they would need at least three murders to make for an exciting evening...I wouldn't hold my breath, were I you.

Do let me know if you're interested. And I warn you, you had better make yourself fit for being seen in public.

I don't think that murdering slaves makes for cheap excitement, no. It's regrettable and reprehensible, and a sign of the corruption and excesses in the Magisterium. My levity was ill-placed.

I'm going to pass, Dorian. The last party that was thrown by humans that I went to involved me being called rabbit half the night and it only got worse from there. I'd like to avoid a repeat performance.

[Kaneis can tell he's taken aback. Right, he guesses the guy, like most nobles, is not used to being called out by someone who doesn't have an obvious rank. If anything, it's a good sign the guy listened to him instead of trying to pull rank as he knows other nobles might try (even if that always did amuse him)]

Are you quite alright, Fenris? You'll have to forgive me, but you seem to be uncharacteristically friendly. Normally you're not too dissimilar from an aloof cat.

...we are the only people here who know Tevene. How else will I gossip about the others if you're not in your right mind?
