009 [Video]
Who: Sokka and YOU!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: Deep in Savvy territory - in every sense of the word.
When: Today!
[If there's one thing that can be said about Sokka, is that when he decides to put his all into something, he really goes for it. He'd originally headed to Savvy to try and take his mind off Beverly. That there's still been no sign of her. Not even a whisper.
Turns out Savvy was really good for taking his mind off it. The Savvy people were his people. The weird tendency he has for thinking so far out of the box that he was in a different planet than the box is something that's cherished here. And Sokka really does love being appreciated.
He hasn't forsaken the usual Water Tribe Blue he wears, though he has accented his outfit with a green bandanna and belt. The people seem to forgive his spirit-esque faux-pas with his outfit for his endless offerings of actually-useful inventions and animal traps. He's grinning at the video from where he's sitting in one of the workshops. He's working on something that looks very explosive.
You can tell because it has "warning: explosive" stamped on the side of it.]
Guys, have you checked out the Savvy guys yet? Everyone here is amazing! I mean, aside from the green, and the lack of water, they would absolutely be Water Tribe people.
[He grins and waves a hand at the explodey thing.]
They even let me work in their workshops all the time! These people. [He lets out a fond sniffle] They're my people.
Also the best, so Spirit and and Moxxy can go suck on a penguinotter.

So much for remaining neutral....
Video
It's hard to be neutral when there's an obviously superior side.
And it's not like we're going to war or anything.
Video
Either way, we're still going to leave in a few weeks. It'd be stupid to get too involved.
Video
[The tragedy doesn't seem to affect him that much, though. The dramatic chest clutching lasts exactly five seconds. ]
Not when they give us all this sweet gear, though! And it doesn't hurt to make some allies out here in space.
Video
[He sighs and rolls his eyes]
Allies are fine, but just don't let it all get to your head.
Video
[Wow that actually sounds like a genuinely good reason. ]
...Also they let me play with all their cool stuff.
[There it is. ]

Action
[Just as Sokka finishes his broadcast, the bell rings to signal a new customer, and the shopkeep waves heartily at the... tiny pink pony coming through the door!]
Hiya, Martill! How're you today?
[Engage the super strong tiny horse fiend, y/n?]
Action
Oh. It's you.
Re: Action
Hello, Sokka. How're you today?
[Might as well try to be nice since the parts she's looking for are all around right where he's standing. Who knows, maybe he'll be civil today.]
Action
Pretty good, I guess. There's neat stuff here.
[Small talk with a horse. This is his life now. ]

[Squinting at that explosive.]
Please tell me that's 'ex-ploh-seev-ey.' French for 'totally not dangerous and won't kill us all'.
video
[He knows she's being sarcastic so he's just going to be sarcastic right back. TAKE THAT. ]
...If you want it to be that, you can totally tell yourself that's what it is.
video
You're so welcome.
[Huh. Okay is he crazy or does he really know how to handle that thing?] Are you going to splodey something?
video
Oh nooo, I mean, nothing nearby. But these might make for some good booby traps one day.
[Or a way to laucnh a full scale assault on Atroma. That too. ]
video
[BOOBY TRAPS THOUGH.]
You're like... an evil genius or something. That's frickin' amazing.
video
Well, a little less on the evil side but I'll take the genius part. And thank you!

[Adalwolfe swings his scarf back around his neck, looking a bit silly in how it wraps awkwardly around the large bit of his gorget that sticks out on his armor and even more ridiculous over the fluffy mantle over his shoulders.]
Have you tried their hunting grounds yet? Wonderfully expansive. Though I haven't seen a... what is it you said, penguinotter? What is that, anyway?
[Oh, wait, he should probably introduce himself huh. It's so weird having to do that, even after only a few months out of Thedas.]
I'm Hawke, by the way. Adalwolfe Hawke, from the First Breath.
video
[He beams.]
I have! I mean, I still have a load of meat left over from the last place, but the grounds are still amazing! And they're little bird things from back home.
Hey Adalwolfe I'm Sokka and-
...Wait. Hawke? Are you like...Garrett's brother or something?
[Guess which ship the previous guy Hawke was on board? That's right, the Blue Fish. Guess who doesn't follow the general Thedosian drama? Thaaaaaaaaaat's right. ]
video
[Adalwolfe grins ruefully, not really wanting to explain the alternate universe thing all over again. He got lucky with Beverly already understanding the concept but he's not sure he'll be that lucky again. Maker, he has a hard enough time wrapping his own head around it.]
Can never have too much meat though, honestly. Thank the Maker for refrigerators or I'm fairly certain my dog would hold a one canine riot over protein paste.
video
[His tone is interested, but not pushy. One thing he has understood is that things can get really freaking complicated in the lives of people brought here. It's none of his business. ]
That's so true. There's no such thing as too much meat. I mean, come on, it's the best food there is. It's brain food.
video
Very. He's me, but from an alternative version of the world I'm from. We're from, rather. Marian's the same, so I just consider her a sister and have done with it. So brother for Garrett does work, I suppose.
[Actually that wasn't so bad this time. Maybe he's just getting the hang of explaining, even if it's somehow more awkward talking about a non-present alternate male version of himself. Wolfe has to wonder what different decisions that Hawke made, contrary to himself and Marian.]
Are you a hunter?

video;
I know, right? These are the people who really know how to live. And absolutely the guys you want around when everything goes sideways.
video;
Exactly. You want to make some allies in this big mess of space, make allies with the people who know how to survive whatever can be thrown at them. Sure, being able to fight or think is great, but being able to do both at the same time? That's what you want.
