I do not know who this might effect, but I thought it polite to inform you that I am now part of the Huntress's crew. (He had been aboard the S.S. Bishop before.) Furthermore, I have informed myself on what might be possible for...something I lack.

[ Maglor's pout softens at his brother's worry ]

[ Maglor shakes his head but squeezes his brother's hand comfortingly ]

At least you didn't do it in public! [ But there's a laugh in his voice - he doesn't mind that much, truly ]

Nearly public. (They are not hidden in some room. His gaze softens and he chuckles.) Thank you, Kano.

No one is watching, it's not public. [ Maglor grins back ]

In that case... (He wraps an arm around his brother and nuzzles their heads together.)

I'm visiting Grandfather. Would you like to come with me?

[ Maglor nuzzles back with a happy noise, only to pull a face ]

I suppose, but only if you stop him feeding me.

(Maedhros kisses his cheek, grinning at that face.)

I cannot make any promises, but I have asked for his aid, so perhaps his attention will be focused more on me?

[ Maedhros can have a pout in return ]

Hopefully! I am not a babe to be fed!

I should hope so! Tis bad enough I worry you enough to make you fret, I do not need grandfather as well!

I know. [ He wrinkles his nose and sighs gustily ]

But it feels as if he does not want to realise... that too much time has passed. I ... I cannot be Makalaure any longer. And... and... it is unfair of me, for he loves me, I know, but... it ... it is almost too much.

(He softens at the explanation and kisses Maglor's forehead.)

Let him see you as you are now. Be yourself. You are no less precious and I would argue, you are more precious as you stand before me.

[ Maglor huffs and admits quietly ]

You all are a bit... too much. I... it has been a long time since I have... had ... family. I am being ungrateful.

I know. (He isn't surprised. Being around anyone is difficult, but family...

It has been a long, long time for him and even longer for Maglor.) You are not ungrateful, toron; you are learning something you - and I - have forgotten.

I love you all, I do. But... [ He looks away, ashamed ] Sometimes... sometimes I ... wish you would all leave me alone.

(Pain flashes in Maedhros's eyes and he steps back, however he quickly controls the emotion, nodding.)

No! [ Instant panic in Maglor's and he reaches for his brother pleadingly ]

Not you! I don't mean it, Nelyo, truly I don't. I just... everyone is worried and... and it's... overwhelming. That's all. But don't go!

(He frowns, torn, however that pleading and the hands reaching for him cannot be ignored. He grabs onto one hand, squeezing gently.)

We should get some fresh air. Being together on a ship at all hours will drive us madder.

[ Maglor relaxes when he does and nods, agreeably ]

Why don't we go down to the planet, then? Finrod says that Moxie is good for music.

It was made for you, then. (Maedhros pauses and closes his eyes.) I meant what I said. All you need do is ask if you want space.

Spirit would probably protest. [ Maglor says shyly ] They already claimed me, and I do love their libraries. But Finrod is happy in Moxie - we can always visit.

[ He drops his head ] I made you unhappy. I'm sorry, Nelyo. I don't mean it, truly I don't.

A visit hurts no one. (He has been rather skittish of the planets in general, but it's time that changed.)

It's not about me. (Deep down, he's glad Maglor is honest with him and they know better than most that the truth often hurts.) If I had known -

[ He looks up at his brother earnestly ]
