[Open] Plant your hope with good seeds
Who: Anders and Anyone (with one closed prompt for Fenris)
Broadcast: No
Action: The Three Twins clinic, the greenhouse, Malum and Planetside
When: Todayish/this weekish
Clinic
[Generally, Anders preferred to spend his time in his clinic, making sure all the equipment worked, making sure everything remained clean and sanitary, making sure all of his supplies were stocked, all the while happy to wait around in case anyone needed him.
Since arriving at the planets and spreading his time between the clinic and Hawke, he'd been there less often. Usually, only stopping in to do his usual checks and watering the rows of medicinal herbs he had potted in the back of the clinic. He'd hang around for a little while during this, but always made sure the little note he'd made forever ago was out in case someone needed healing and came looking for him while he was gone. The communicators made that part easy, at least. How much less stress would he have had in Kirkwall if he could have simply let his patients contact him through a communicator when they needed him and he was away?
Well, it didn't matter, it wasn't worth thinking about.
As he went through his usual routine, movement by the door caught his attention from the corner of his eye, his focus on the plants he was tending to.]
Come in! What can I help you with?
Greenhouse
[He had his plants in his clinic, but there were versions kept here as well and, though he trusted Hermione to set up spells and things to tend to the plants whether he was there or not, he still enjoyed stopping by to do it himself when he could. The only thing from the circle he ever missed was the herbology he could do within those walls.
Kirkwall had limited what he could do with so few supplies and no potion was needed more than elfroot anyway, so it hadn't allowed for a whole lot of creativity. But now they had their seedlings, growing healthy and rapidly under the care he and Hermione provided and he looked forward to being able to do more again.
Anders spread a hint of creation magic on the plants, ones he was personally invested in and the others, just to help them grow strong, his hands glowing a little blue as he cupped them around the sprouts. A sound from nearby soon drew his attention and pulled him from the plants for further investigation, however.]
Is someone there?
Planetside
[These planets and moons aren't nearly as relaxing as the last one, but Anders finds himself enjoying it more anyway. There's plenty to see and explore, all the faction stuff aside and each one held their merits on things to experience. There were places nature still ran rampant that he still found relaxing, the busy streets of the main city held shops and entertainment at every corner and Spirit's library and meditation moon offered all the peace and research Anders might want.
The library especially was something he continued to visit at least once a day, combing through what books on magic and spirits it had to offer, especially once Hawke could no longer come with him.]
Malum
[At first, he'd been spending a lot of time at the bar, certainly more than he'd spent before he'd woken up older, mostly due to the fact Hawke worked there. Now it was nearly habit to show up whenever Hawke worked.
That included today when Hawke should have been working but wasn't because he'd been an idiot and gotten caught cheating the system. He loved Hawke with every fiber of his being, but he was really far less than impressed with his partner's ability to land himself in trouble. Especially when Anders had told him it would blow up in his face.
So now he was at Malum, wishing again he could simply get drunk enough to not think about the fact Hawke was stuck alone in a cell for the next foreseeable future and all this 'competition' might entail. He ordered a drink anyway and sat staring at it.]
Maybe, just this once, you'd make an exception?
[He kept his voice quiet, hoping no one would overhear him ostensibly talking to himself, but still hopeful his Spirit friend would give him a break for one night and let the alcohol muddle his head a bit.
He wasn't going to hold his breath on it.]
For Fenris
[Even with Vash working at the Space Bar now and Hawke in Jail, Anders still generally stuck to Malum and not the Space Bar, he likely wouldn't have set foot in there at all tonight, if it was left up to him. Unfortunately, it wasn't.
Ser-Pounce-A-Lot, in his curious kitten ways, had slipped away from Anders almost as soon as they'd stepped abord the Iskaulit and thoroughly lost the mage for the time being.
The small orange ball of fluff strode into the bar like he owned the place and began poking around at anything and everything that drew his attention. Eventually, that attention fell on the elf that worked there and Pounce made quick work of scaling his outfit to find a spot on Fenris' shoulder.
This was fine, right?]

Planetside
The sun peeks up over the rim of the world and light seems to move with a weight of its own. It pours like liquid over the edge of the valley, the tall straw grass shining a brilliant gold in the dawn's light as it forges onward, downward, touching each curve and crevice in the valley like the caress of a mother's hand.
While Anders is hopefully watching the spectacle, Hawke is watching Anders. He's always enjoyed sneaking his love off to odd places to see the natural sights. While Adalwolfe's family had traveled more than their fair share in the years before Lothering, he knows Anders had only ever really seen the inside of a Circle Tower for all those same years. It's terrible, but it means that Anders has a joyful appreciation for the natural world, for seeing rain fall, feeling snow on his tongue, rolling in the grass and green with the same wonder a child possesses, these things still new outside of stone walls. New like the dawn over a foreign valley, turning the grass to gold.
He pulls Anders nearer, arm around his lover's thin shoulder as he rests his cheek on the other. He murmurs quietly, not wanting to break the quiet of the morning when it's barely reached them yet.]
What do you think?
no subject
His breath caught in his lungs and he could feel himself leaning a tad forward as though entranced by the sight. The sunlight washes over the field as though being cleansed of the night's gloom, each blade of grass shimmering as though made of gold and fire. A new day.
His breath comes out in a slow and long sigh of wonder.]
It's beautiful.
[His voice is also quiet, but he turns his face to Hawke, his arm wrapping around the other mage's waist as he leaned in to press a simple and sweet kiss to his lips.]
How did you know about this?
no subject
[He grins and leans into Anders further, enjoying the view.]
I was right.
no subject
It is amazing. Do you know what's more amazing than this, however?
You.
no subject
I'm glad you recognize my genius.
[He drops his arm from Anders' shoulders to his waist and lets his hand rest on his lover's hip gently, gliding small circles with his thumb that he knows but for all the layers are skating over precious freckles on his otherwise pale hip.]
Well, not genius. Actually I've been sort of scattered. But still, good idea, eh?

...Anders, right? [ she pushes herself off the far side of the bar and walks a little closer. one arm is wrapped up in a sling, but she doesn't seem all too hampered by it. ] Sorry. He's not here. But I guess you already knew that.
[ her smile is small and sympathetic. ]
no subject
Yes, I'm well aware. He's landed himself in trouble. [He has to bite back the 'again' that runs through his mind.]
But I've found myself here anyway. It's not like they'll let me sleep outside his cell.
[He raised a brow and nodded towards her arm.]
Are you alright? I'm a healer, I could fix that for you.
no subject
[ not that she has anything against healing magic, though she doesn't make that readily apparent. ]
no subject
[He wasn't about to heal the unwilling, not when the patient wasn't dying or suffering. Sometimes, injuries simply needed to be left to time, he'd done that plenty himself.]
If some pain lingers even after it's healed, let me know, I'll be able to put it right.
So, are you working because Hawke can't? I apologize on his behalf if that's the case.

Greenhouse
She's looking for a good place to start digging when her ears pick up on the sounds of someone else in the greenhouse, and after a few moments of thought Renart cautiously makes her way over, unsure if it's someone who will readily chase her out. She'll stop a few feet away from Anders, tilting her head at him curiously.]
no subject
Oh...well, hello! What are you doing in here, little one?
[He held his hand out and low, trying to show he meant no harm. Maybe this was someone's pet they'd gotten from the tree, there were certainly quite a few around now.]
no subject
At his question she bounces back over to the nearest plant and starts digging at the dirt surrounding its stem. Clearly her answer to him is that she's up to no good.]
no subject
Hey, now! I worked very hard on those, you know. They don't do very well when they're dug up.
[He moved to scoop it into his arms and hopefully begin scratching behind it's ears, if he was allowed. Fennics were always a little more dog-like than he preferred, but there was a certain cat-like quality to the fox Anders couldn't help but find endearing.]
Must you be so destructive towards my plants?

Clinic
Anders? Hi... I'm Dr. Keller. I helped Adawolfe look after you while you were unconscious.
no subject
Ah, yes! Hello.
[The one who stuck the IV in him...he bites his tongue about it. She was only trying to help.
His smile widens and he aims for humor instead.]
What can I do for you, Dr. Keller? Surely you're not in need of healing yourself?
no subject
Not so much, last I checked. I came by to see how you were feeling, actually- Adawolfe was so worried.
no subject
Thank you for looking out for him. Or, well, looking out for me to look out for him, I know he worries.
[Not that that stops him from forgetting to eat or laying awake all night or letting himself think the things he does that upset his lover. He didn't deserve Hawke's care for all he didn't abide by it.]
I'm feeling fine. It was quite a jump in time when I woke up, but I think I've sorted out my memories now. Have you ever experienced one of those comas? The ones that sort of send you home?

1. Touching him.
2. Being associated with Anders.
3. Sitting on him.
4. Being a cat.
He turns his head to glare at the fluffy death creature.]
No. Go away.
no subject
Of course, rubbing against his cheek turns into rubbing the side of his mouth and, consequently, one of those sharp canines through Fenris' hair in an attempt to both groom him and leave his scent on the elf.
This was his now.]
no subject
This is unacceptable.
The slugs were pushing it. He learned to live with the slugs. But this is a cat. ANDERS' cat.
No. ]
Stop it. Go home.
[How did it ever get there? He tries to turn to remove Pounce from his shoulders, forgetting cats are equally pins and bags of water at the same time. ]
no subject
[Anders had finally tracked down Pounce's location and had just come into sight in time to see Fenris trying to extract said missing cat from his shoulder. Of course, the minute he reached around the cat's middle, Pounce went limp and dug his claws into whatever stitch of fabric all four of his limbs could find.
He hadn't agreed to being moved, ser, that's simply rude.
Anders' reaction, however, is not indignant or upset at all. It's something completely different. A light and bubbly feeling spread in his chest and started as a quiet chuckle that barely shook his shoulders. But the more Anders looked at this surley and murderous elf trying to ineffectually pry an indigent kitten off his shoulder, the more hilarious Anders found it. Until that quiet laugh had finally turned into something much louder and much less subtle.]
Fenris...it seems you've got something...just there, on-on your shoulder.
[It was a miracle he even managed to get the words out around his laughter, but manage he did. Anything to fluster Fenris more.]

He's surprised to see Anders here, while his other half is locked away, and wanders over to his table. ]
...Are you actually asking for permission to drink? You do know this is a bar right? It's what people generally do here.
no subject
[There was a moment, a split moment, where he thought to himself 'don't be sarcastic to Hawke's boss. It didn't come fast enough to stop his mouth before it started moving, however.
Well, too late now. He glanced up at Crowley.]
It's a long story.
no subject
[He sounds very, very amused by it. Sarcasm is always a great way to win Crowley over. ]
Most of them are. You know, we do alcohol free cocktails if you want to drink something more interesting that won't cause you any grief.
no subject
It's not about that. I can't get drunk, which is where the long story comes in, but alcohol free or the strongest stuff you have on the shelf, it'll all be the same.
[He turned that amused smirk up to the demon, but there was a wry tinge to it.]
Hence why I was seemingly asking the universe to let me get drunk. Not that I think anyone was listening.
[Certainly not the spirit he'd been hoping would listen. Of course, Oghren had spent a solid six months trying to convince Justice drinking was an important fact of life, Anders likely had no hope now that it was his turn. If anything, Oghren had likely dissuaded the spirit from ever considering it again.]
