Who: Allen Walker
Broadcast: Video
Action: Solrius
When: 9/7
[Allen looks like he's planet-side on Solrius. He doesn't look injured, but he sure looks like this hasn't been the best of weeks. The area behind him? Looks like it just got hit by a snowstorm and a tornado, all at once.]
Hey! There's a dragon running loose on Solrius- a dangerous one, not a nice one! He's traveling with a man and they're causing damage! If you have information about either of them or their location, please tell me!
If you can fight? Please consider coming down here to protect the local villages! Don't try to take the dragon and the man on by yourself. Otherwise? I suggest traveling elsewhere!
[OOC: If you want to have an encounter with the dragon here's the log! The dragon will be defeated on the 11th. If you really want your character to be on Solrius and NOT encounter the dragon, that's fine too- it's a big planet! ]

[Excuse her you've piqued her interest. Not that she's exactly thrilled by the idea. Last time she fought a dragon was that damned High Dragon at the Temple of Sacred Ashes some ten years ago with Riona and the rest.]
Has anyone else tried to contain it?
[She will... call the cavalry if you need her to, Allen.]
video;
It has wings, so by the time I get to a place it's been sighted, it's flown off.
video;
[Yup. Officially going into her spymaster/tactician mindset. Sweet Chantry Sister Leliana is indisposed at the moment.]
video;
[he scrubs his face]
I'll be honest. I'm still trying to figure out how to fight a dragon.
video;
video;
[LELIANA YOU'RE THE BEST]
But right, that makes sense. If you could get him separated from the man that's with him, that'd help a lot.
video;
[Basically they have their work cut out for them. Where is Ogrhen with his pre-game alcohol when they need it?]
video;
That'd be ideal. The truth is, the man is a fleet member that's been corrupted by some sort of dark energy ... something like a taint, as your world would call it. The dragon is too.
I have the ability to purify such things, and he's supposed to be the source of it. So if I'm able to purify him, maybe that'll put a stop to it.
video; >> private;
Does this ability also include corrupted spirits?
[Inquiring minds want to know.]

[The question surprises him]
I...don't know, I've never tried.
Why?
private;
[And there is a bit of a strained silence as Leliana wonders if she should tell him why this is a problem.]
Justice felt the injustice that Mages have endured for many lifetimes at the hands of the Templar Order of Thedas. The Templars work closely with the Chantry and were abusive to Mages, unjustly so of course.
[Still restraining herself as much as she can but honestly she's said this much... what can she do but get to the meat of the issue?]
Anders, having fled the Circle of Magi in which he was housed, lived on the run as an apostate - something that is considered illegal in Thedas. He was angry at the treatment mages endured and chose to exact vengeance by murdering hundreds of innocent cloistered sisters, templars, and those residing in the village of Kirkwall that entered the chantry the day he blew it up with magic. He did so under the influence of Justice's corrupted spirit.
[She takes a breath. Honestly it was hard to even consider involving an outsider in the problems of their home, but she wanted this dealt with.]
My worry - as a Chantry official - is that should Justice feel that something taking place in the fleet is unjustly done, he will react in violence with us in the crossfire. It is why I have tried to find a way to have him dealt with by either destroying him and Anders both, destroying just the malevolent spirit, or finding a way to restore the both of them to a more agreeable state of being by separation.

[After that pause, there's another pause as he breaks down the words and let them sink in. Anders is a host to a spirit that got corrupted. He was mistreated by the church, and it caused him to lash out so badly that it got many innocent people killed. That alone is bad enough, and there definitely should be measures done to prevent that
[But...when she speaks as though she's speaking on her Chantry's behalf? He feels tugs of discomfort, of nagging reminders of his past. She's not the first church member to take interest in his powers for their own means. Nor is this the first instance of a church pushing someone to the point of taking such bloody vengeance. He could never forget that fact- the memories of Alma standing amongst those slaughtered Order members was burned into his mind, unable to fade.]
[God...he feels so tired.]
I...see.
[He gives a sigh.]
Look, I'll be honest. My powers are made mostly for fighting the undead and demons. I purify them when I slay them, so their taint can't spread anymore and any souls attached can rest peacefully.
I have one ability, that allows me to exorcise someone without harming the human host. But...I haven't been able to use it in a long time. I'm hoping I'll be able to unlock that power once more when I fight Sorey, because the heat of battle is how I learned to use it before. And if I can, I'd be willing to try to help, it sounds like a serious problem. But if not...
[He swallows]
If not, I'd like to only have the blood of my fallen friend on my hands. Not more.
private;
[Carefully, Leliana folds her hands beneath her chin, as if in prayer. She honestly wishes there was another way - that Anders did not have to die, nor Justice. If she had to choose between their lives and the lives of those who are uncorrupted by their figurative and literal demons and Anders who was off the beaten path... she chose the innocents caught in the middle because it was the right thing to do.]
Anders is a good man, albeit a troubled one. I am not a mage but I feel frustrated on his behalf. Mages are like anyone else - made up of good and bad people. They aren't things. They've got feelings and passions like any other of the Maker's children. Mages who turn to blood magic or possession do so because they see no other options left to them. If I could single handedly change the Chantry or the Templar Order I would. But that... is a thought for another time. I apologize I let my own passion get the better of me.
[She scrubs a hand over her face, feeling tired as well.]
I only ask because you are the first lead I have come upon. I don't want to leave the situation idle until it is too late. Not again.
private;
[Thaaaat said]
But right now, Riona wants your help saving Hawke's arse from facing the dragon by herself.
private;
[NOT EVEN HOLDING BACK HER FEELINGS.]
I will go catch up with the both of them. Thank you for telling me.
private;
It's no trouble, I'll try to meet you as well. Be careful.
private;
His name is Adawolfe. The only one I was familiar with before him was Marian. I've not heard of a Garrett Hawke.
[????? Why is it always Hawke, the Inquisitor, and the Warden that are different?????]
private;
[DA FUQ]
Garrett Hawke was the first security officer of the Blue Fish. He left about a year ago.
private;
[Would she have liked him? Interesting.]
private;
It's really hard to tell with Hawkes.
private;
[Honestly it makes her pinch the bridge of her nose a bit, staving off a headache. Tl;dr everyone's the same except the Warden, Hawke, and the Inquisitor and only Atroma - or probably the Maker - knew why.]
private;
[Huh]
That's rather strange. I wonder why they're the ones different and no one else.
