Who: adelina
Broadcast: voice
Action: on the golden if you so desire
When: 9/14
[there's a short pause after the feed clicks on before a voice can be heard; when she does begin to speak, her voice sounds thoughtful, almost sentimental.]
I didn't think I would grow older while I was still here. That is, we grow older each day, but I trust you all catch my meaning regardless. It's a strange thing, to gain a year so far from home.
[a pause.]
I don't wish for a celebration or any gifts, but one thing I would enjoy is to hear stories. Legends or fables from your world, or experiences that you yourself have had. I find this sort of thing fascinating, truly. I would be happy to reciprocate as well.
Regardless, thank you all for your time.

. . . and one for Lace. You ain't getting out of this]
I did not see the point.

[she glances at the drink]
What is it?
no subject
[she takes a sip] Scotch. A friend introduced me to it.

[she takes a sip as well, making a face as it goes down]
The flavor isn't at all what I expected. You were correct before, too... It is very strong.

[she quirks a smile behind her glass and takes a longer drink]
It is, that's why I like it.

[she takes another drink, slower this time]
I will admit that it's like nothing I've tasted before. Are you sure - doesn't an entire bottle seem a bit much?
no subject
Are you saying you cannot handle a couple of drinks, dear?
no subject
I'm afraid you're wrong on both counts. Pour me another?
no subject
Then I invite you to prove it. On both counts.

[she takes a larger sip of the drink this time with a quirk of her lips and a few blinks]
I think I shall.

[you have fallen into her trap, Lace no]
I wish you luck on the second count.
no subject
You aren't going to do the same?

downs the rest of her glass]
You must have experience with this sort of thing.

[she refills both of their glasses again] When I was younger, I'd spend a lot of time with dwarves. One must build a tolerance if one wishes to keep up with their drinking habits.

[a laugh]
I imagine you could easily drink more than them. They're rather small, aren't they? It doesn't take much for them to become overwhelmed.

[takes another sip]
I must wonder who introduced you to it.

[she tilts her head]
To this drink in particular? Charles did.

[a pause]
But if I recall correctly, you promised me a story.
no subject
[she may be an alcoholic]
That I did. What sort of story do you want? [she pauses] I do not know a lot of happy ones.

I'd like to hear about your village. Before... [the bad thing happen]
