Okay. So. I barely wake up in bed on this strange ship afore I appear on another one, and all I get for my troubles is a cup of pudding? No "hello, here's a recording explaining everything"? A nice dinner, maybe? 'least it tastes like actual chocolate... [She sighs, then softens up.] I been watching the network a bit, so I'm just gonna skip the part where I demand to be taken home. So, uh, I guess I'll just say hello. I'm Kaylee, I love ships n' engines, so at least I'll feel a little at home here, but other than that, I ain't quite sure what's going on.

[As she waits for responses, Kaylee can be found exploring her new home, poking at the various bits of protein available in the kitchen, looking around her new quarters, but she spends the most time in the engine room, enthralled.]

You're on a space reality TV show. Basically, we're all being watched for some mysterious audience's satisfaction. Nobody really gets it, nobody knows what's going on.

[Kaylee smiles back at Hiro, noticing he's got that "just been knee-deep in an engine" look. Is she among her people now? But then she just looks confused.]

... huh. Don't know what I was expectin' to hear, but being on a TV show was pretty low on the list.

Trust me, nobody ever expects it. It's definitely unique as far as the "taken from your home world with no way to get home" thing goes, apparently.

Which is why I can feel like you're tellin' the truth, honestly. Nobody could just... make up that kinda story.

... so people just being plucked from home and set elsewhere is that common?

Apparently. There are a lot of people here who this is their second, or even third place they've been.

Hmm, I ain't seen ships like most of the ones in the Fleet, but I've always had a knack for figuring things out, too. Machines talk to me, y'know? So I can try!

Well, you're kind to say so. I never thought I'd ever meet a talking pink horse in my life!

[If Kaylee hadn't just been talking to a pink pony on the network, she might have been startled by the whole green-skinned thing. As it was, however, Kaylee took it in stride, and waved.]

Howdy! I got assigned to this ship, so I'm gettin' the lay of the land a bit... wow, the protein is flavored?

Hahaha, yeah, I get that from a LOT of the humans here. A LOT of them don't have ponies like me in their world, and mine doesn't have humans either.

Those get positive responses too, but it's not until something goes wrong that they seem really happy.

I'd really appreciate it. I haven't had any experience with technology before I came here, so if I could get an expert's eyes on the engines of my ship I'd sleep a little better.

I live on the First Breath. I don't know engines, but I cook and clean and use magic so I do what I can to contribute. If you like the hot chocolate I can see if there is more hiding in the cupboards here.

Nice to meetcha, Lily! Well, we had spaceships and protein to eat back where I come from, so it does feel at least a little like home. Ain't seen nobody I know from home, though...

That's how I see it too, it's always good to have friends and their are plenty of great people here. My best friend, his name is Tyrion, he is our engineer.

Nope, no humans at all! I mean there IS this parallel universe that my friend Twilight goes to sometimes, but they're not in Equestria at all, and coming here was the first time I'd EVER seen them!

Ah, there's a shuttle bay in each of the ships. The shuttles all have autopilot on them so you can just pick the Huntress from the list. Or I can come get you, if you're unsure. [but given that she's a spaceship-familiar type of person, sorey's pretty sure the lady's got it on lock]
