[We're drifting, so it's a perfect time to make use of the many fine establishments on our common ship.]

You sure? [She cocks her head a little, glancing between him and the bag.]

You ever spar with some of the people around here?

I'm sure. [it's hard to tell of course, since it's one of the bags that can stand up to the powered folk, but - he was certainly going at it earlier.

Her question has him pausing, before he quirks something of a grin]

Not really - maybe a couple of times? And only once like this.

[It's the sort of thing Natasha has to wonder, you know.]

You should think of doing it more often. Somehow, I don't think the bag is going to give you much of a fight.

[understandably. He rolls his shoulders before his grin widens a bit]

I don't know, if I hit it hard enough . . .

I've thought about it. I know there's plenty of people who would.

I'm sure I could find you volunteers if you couldn't.

[She'd be interested in seeing what he was capable of. Maybe not first hand—not in a fair fight, certainly—but still seeing what he's capable of.]

There's always people interested in testing themselves.

If you know someone who can hit me and knock me down, I'm all ears.

[it isn't that he doesn't want to spar with people - with how things have changed, it'd be good for him]

I'd just be worried about hurting them, that's the only thing stopping me.

I guess it's hard to say when I don't know exactly what can do, but I know some people who are pretty hard to hurt.

Not all of them are here, unfortunately...

Being hard to hurt is a plus. Teammates of yours?

I'd be pretty confident volunteering Thor for a match.

I don't know a lot about the one you know, but I'm sure he'd give me a run for my money and then some.

I don't doubt it. But what better way to see what you're capable of? Besides, he's always game.

That's certainly the way to do it. If he ever shows up, I'll have to ask him.

[She glances over him again before approaching the bag.]

Until then, you could ask Vision. He's very... fair.

[he takes a step back, giving her space]

Fair?

He's more or less indestructible, and can be intangible. But he wants to learn—and at least with me he sets the goals reasonably.

That does sound fair. [and . . . well, if he's indestructible that would put Hank's usual worries to rest]

You could do a lot worse for a partner. He could too.

That's true. I'll have to tell him you recommended him -

[and then it dawns on him that they never exchanged names. He huffs a noise and holds out a clawed hand]

I'm Hank. I don't think we ever introduced ourselves when we spoke last.

[If she's bothered by the claws, she doesn't show it—she takes his hand and shakes it professionally, raising her chin a little and offering a smile.]

Natasha Romanoff. Nice to meet you?

[his grip is firm and yet careful at the same time, very conscious of his strength when he shakes]

Hank McCoy. It's nice to meet you too, Natasha. Thanks again for the advice.

[She tips her head a little, accepting his thanks with the gesture. His carefulness, though not awkward, is noticeable in his handshake. She smiles gently.]

I'm surprised it took us this long, if you spend much time in here.

[he looks a little sheepish, a hand coming up to rub at the side of his neck]

I used to come here early in the morning or late at night. Usually when no one was here.

[Her experience is serious when she responds:]
