[hey droot flooters! how are those new augment glitches going? how's your crew? what fresh trouble have you been getting into? how are those jobs paying off? whether you're in your ship, on one of the moons, stuck on Marsiva, or hiding out on one of the waystations in-between, your audience wants to know what you're up to!

note: there are an unusual number of shoes on sale in the shops today. the ones on Abeo are pretty ugly.]

[ Hgrk. Hug is not unexpected, but hug is still hug. Chris reaches around to hug his dad back before pulling away, gaze turning critical and assessing. He's not going to even talk about all the sleep-shimmering incidents. This stupid show isn't good for his mental health. ]

Speaking of... You okay now? Back on your feet?

I'm fine, Chris. The poison was the worst part and that's out of my system.

[He looked down and patted the spot gently, not wincing even slightly at the contact.]

I've been stabbed worse than this before and it's healing nicely enough. Shame your Uncle Leo and Aunt Paige aren't here or they'd be able to heal this right up.

[ Chris isn't totally convinced, so he reaches out to poke at the spot for himself. Best way to check, obviously. ]

Yeah, and if they were here we'd have part of the Power of Three, too. Maybe that would be able to do something. My own magic is just bouncing around going nowhere here.

[ This powerlessness is strangely familiar and not and, no matter what, it sucks. ]

[And Cole's just going to pretend that this actually hurts because he is the best dad.]

If we want part of the Power of Three, I'd hope that we'd get your mother or Piper instead. [Mostly Piper. Because she doesn't hate him as much as the other two.] You've been trying to get back home? What all have you tried?

[ Chris flinches back for a second before he realizes, then reaches out to shove at Cole because he is the best son. ]

Yeah, I know. [ Here, Chris sighs. ] Nothing too big yet. Just some basic spells to see if I couldn't punch through whatever this is. Been trying to stock up on potion supplies while we're near civilization but it's kind of hard to find what you need out in space, you know?

[That makes Cole laugh as he's shoved and he shoves him right back. Best family right here.]

Give me a list and I'll see about helping you stock up. [He then turns thoughtful.] This really isn't my area of expertise, but maybe you could try something like the blood to blood spell you did to pull me out of the void, but in reverse so that we could go to them instead of them coming to us.

[ That shoveback isn't going to go uncontested, so Chris gives a larger shove with his elbow this time. ]

No way. With a spell like that, you probably wouldn't come with me and I'm not going to leave you here. Don't even ask me to, Dad.

[ But he will definitely make that list. ]

[Well, if this is how it's gonna be, then Cole's just gonna grab him in a headlock and mess up his hair.]

You could probably edit it to make me come along as well. I wouldn't ask you to leave me here.

[You better.]

[ Oh, come on! Chris flails, then twists and tries to wrench himself out of Cole's hold. When that fails, he adjusts himself and uses his leg to pull Cole's out from under him to take both of them down. ]

Good. I'll figure something out.

[He laughs loudly as they hit the ground and doesn't let go, still messing with his hair and keeping him in the headlock.]

I know you will, Kit. You are your mother's son.

[ Yeah, Chris was pretty sure that much wasn't enough to jostle himself free but at least now they're both at the same disadvantage. He wriggles, shifts, rolls and then finally takes grip of Cole's arm and flips them over, shimmers out of his grip and sits on his back while reaching for his wrists to pin him there. He's grinning rather proudly to himself here. ]

I'm your son too, you know.

[Oh are we cheating and shimmering? Because as soon as Chris believes he's gotten the upper hand, Cole shimmers out and then back in behind him to tackle him to the ground.]

She's better with spells than I am. I didn't think I need to point that out to you.

[ Chris grunts when he is slammed into the floor, reaching his arm out wildly behind him to toss Cole away. Magic's been involved, there ain't no stopping this train. He huffs. ]

Doesn't mean you're a slob at working your way through a problem.
