Huntress
The reason he's come back is also the same reason she'll find, when she first steps inside the ship, that everything looks a little.... um, cleaner. Not that it was particularly dirty before, no, but everything just seems extra-clean and hyper-tidy.
If she opens any cabinets, she's also going to find that everything has been tidied there as well. Komaeda himself is diligently scrubbing the showers, whistling to himself with his hair tied up under a handkerchief and his bangs bobby-pinned up. He looks like a Japanese housewife right now.]

Have you been cleaning the entire ship?

I have! I'm just- infused with all this energy! [Komaeda stands up, wiping his forehead with the back of his right hand. His left is carefully tied up and concealed in bandages, no sling today, so that at least he can use it as a brace.] To be honest, it was sort of becoming a problem, so I came back and just started this! Sorry if it's disruptive, I promise I'll try my best to make it quick.

[It's something, although disruptive isn't really the word. Anyway, it's just cleaning.]
There's no need. Do you want some help?

I did notice that you brought some things back from the other places, though. They're really nice! I especially like that pillow you have on your bunk.
[.... He turns pink.] Not that I was poking around in your things! I just- I saw it when I was mopping the floors, so I- you know! [Mopping the floors of the entire ship, twice. He really needs to get this energy thing under control.] Whew.

[The joys of sharing a room. Mopping as well as scrubbing, though?]
How long have you been cleaning today?
no subject
Oh? Uh, maybe... [Komaeda looks around to see what time it is.] Probably just since I got up. It doesn't hurt to make sure everything is in order for people, right? Did you just get back now?

Anyway, why not? It can't hurt to give everything a good scrub or five, right?

Uh, sorry, I'm just sort of... [This is exactly why he came back to the ship. Komaeda carefully puts down the scrubber brush, fastidiously tips over his bucket of soapy water, and huffs softly.]
I've just been feeling a little off, I think. Maybe I caught something on the moons. [Avoiding her gaze, he starts to unpin his bangs. They still stick up even after the pins are removed, so he tries in vain to pat them down.]

Should we go to the lab? I can find out more information there.
no subject
Um. No. I think I just need to... lie down. Somewhere. Thank you, though. I really appreciate your concern. [His luck has mandated that he walk through life blind to his immediate future; he doesn't see any point in changing that up now. He's not frightened of knowing, he just... he's just more used to this, that's all.]

[This is a little different from what Krista described, but everything starts somewhere.]

[Komaeda blinks once, sleepily.] Besides, I should isolate myself in that case, right?

[She frowns a little bit. It could very well be simple overexertion, but he's got her worried now.]
