[He laughs.] Well, then, my co-conspirator, tell me.

[He pulls another book down from the pile.] What should be our newest acquisition? [Holding one book in his left hand, the other in his right, he raises the left.] A steamy romance born from the stars? Or-[He raises the right.]-a bloody history of an alien monarch?

[He puts them both down.] Or something else, if you'd prefer. I honestly have no idea as to your preferences.

[he sidles over quite close, to peer over the man's shoulder. his attention is fixed squarely on the books, however--eyes now bright as he considers his options.]

...No. It needs to be something good.

[he reaches over to push through a few of the books stacked nearest to him, but his gaze quickly slides to the shelves surrounding them.]

It needs to be something special. It should be something they'll miss.

[Mattias' eyes alight with a fire that appears to be contagious.]

Something they'll miss. [He thinks, leaning back on the table as he remembers every book he's looked at the past few days. It's only when he comes across a good candidate that he leans forward, snapping his fingers.] The Moonmaker's Manifesto! It's a rare, religious text. There's only a few copies available from what I've read. This library has one of them.

[oh he giggles! and it may just be a trick of the light, but his teeth sure seem to end in sharp little points when he does.]

Oh, how fitting! She would be proud, don't you think?

[religion and moons and nighttime and new partners in crime! he's suddenly so very pleased with all of this. he's immediately thrilled and set on the hunt.]

Do you think you'd be able to lift it, while I kept watch and provided distraction if need be?

[He notes the sharp teeth for later and taps his chin for now, mulling it over. He's too honest for a good con plan.] Do you think we could walk out with it? Maybe hide it in another book. Or maybe...
