It's a little like a noodle stir-fry. Or...a lot like a noodle stir-fry. Kinda sweet. Kinda spicy. Topped best with chopped nuts and a squeeze of lime. [ ... ] But who has the patience to chop nuts? Might as well just bash'em instead.

Huh. I've had stir fry, but nothing like that.

He purses his lips, then shrugs] They're as calm as they're going to get.

That sounds like a big fat not really to me.

[ she'd much rather focus on his problems than on her own. her deflection isn't even elegant. ]

I just mean - it seems like a few people are just natural magnets for trouble, that's all.
