Show us your best Tourist Halloween costumes

Who: Touristas & visitors
Broadcast: N/A
Action: On the Tourist
When: The month of October!

[ Maybe October doesn't really happen in space, but since time is arbitrarily defined anyway, maybe it does. Throughout the month, members aboard the Tourist might notice subtle(ish) decorations going up. A paper garland of candied apples here, some adorable paper Jack-O-Lanterns there... The ship was destined to be a Pinterest board the moment Kara was brought on it. Sorry not sorry. ]

Oh yes, the temptation is great. One would think it wouldn't matter, to go into the past, into the future. Unfortunately, even simply going there has a habit of starting a rather destructive mess.

Worse still, when people actually get themselves involved in it, even with good intentions. Saving a seeming nobody can mean a future where hundreds can die- because that seemingly insignificant person ended up having a very significant effect on someone else.

[He's had a long time to get used t this concept. ]

The place that took me from my home, before here, used time travel. I have had the time to experience it, to understand the dangers surrounding it. We had to be...exceptionally careful on missions, lest we changed history for the worst, instead of the better. And even then, the results were not as clear cut as we would have liked.

It was. We never knew what each mission would bring, how our efforts would shape the world around us once we returned to the future.

It got...very messy.

We had a...home base of a sorts that we returned to- it was in a place called England. A broken future of it, but all the same. We would see our efforts there, the good and the bad. But we knew it all the same- I think because none of us were from that world- or even that particular version of Earth.

Perhaps it meant we could live outside of it, unlike the residents of that world.

Oh, I meant they couldn't travel like we did.

...Though honestly, it would not have been wise for them to travel outside. The world was ravaged by war. Exsilium was the counterpoint of the resistance. Everything around it was controlled by the United Earth. Most of it was desolate and dead.

Hm. We had been brought in from our other worlds by the resistance as soldiers. A way to fight back, before the United Earth consumed everything.

We won, eventually. There were many devastating losses, but when we fixed the timeline, they ceased to be. The world was a much better place, by the end of it. One that still needed to be rebuilt, but not on the verge of death, either.

It was, I was very glad we achieved victory.

[That this version of Earth could be saved. ]

Hm. We were given options. To stay there and help rebuild, to go to someone else's world, or to return to our homes. I chose the last, but found myself here instead.

[Which was, frankly, super rude of Atroma. He'd earned his ticket back home already. ]

It was, at first. But I have come to accept my life here. From what I have learned from home, this place seems to be a far better arrangement anyway.

[Thedas continues its downward spiral down the privy. ]
