the first Actual Doctor is a reindeer
Who: Chopper (
tsundeere)
Broadcast: Fleetwide!
Action: Hospitality Deck of the Marsiva!
When: 2/19
[After a tiny hoof smashes onto the starting button of this stationed device, the entire fleet can enjoy a blank footage of the Marsiva's hospitality deck. At least, for a few seconds. Shortly after, there's the tip of a blue, rounded hat and some antlers that show as Chopper jumps up and down to get a better grip.
Between noises of effort, his little voice might be heard.]
Come... on...! I'm almost... THERE! [Somehow, his hooves clamp onto the edge of the thing, and those antlers bring a tough face to follow! Okay, no, he's a tiny reindeer that almost looks like a Tanuki, but details. He's looking very determined as he stares down this camera, at least.]
Can anyone hear me? This is Chopper speaking! [There's no actual snail phones around here, so... Somehow he's able to recognize what this is for. He's not thinking on why for very long.] I don't really know where this place is, but I need to get back to my friends! They could be hurt!
[There's a small, contemplative and mumbley hum as he continues, bringing a hoof to his mouth as he considers.] But I guess any of you could be hurt, too... [That's worrying, all of a sudden. He looks concerned, and then determined, clenching his... hoof?? (how) at the camera.] If you are, don't worry! I'm a doctor, so I can help you out. Just let me know where you are!

You're number 2.

[He looks incredibly excited to see his friend, placing both hooves on the screen as he leans down.] There you are! Are you hurt?
[It's only then that the comment sets in, though, and the smile fades away into something more curious.] Huh? Number 2? I am?

Then, that means I'm not last! [What a great observation. But he grows a little stern shortly after, pointing at the camera.] Wait, I asked you that question first! I'm fine, so now you tell me!

But oh, it's just someone standing there. He eases up most of the way, raising a little hoof in greeting.]
Oh, hello! I didn't see you there. Are you part of the crew of this ship? [This big huge homebase ship, look, he doesn't know.]
no subject
I—what? Crew? No way. I'm just a kidnapped passenger like, uh... you?

She waits until he's done with his broadcast before she says anything. ]
I don't think there's anyone who's hurt here. The... ship, or whatever, heals us when we get here. I guess it can probably do the same thing if anyone gets hurt while they're here?
[ Don't ask how she knows that. Personal, awful experience. ]
no subject
[Chopper looks incredibly surprised by that before becoming incredibly interested. He steps closer to her, holding his own cheeks as he leans forward and up as much as he can.]
How do you know that? Did it heal you? Can you tell me how it worked? That's so cool!
no subject
[ Some scars, still, but she's not going to go flashing those at anyone just yet. The lack of pain and/or bleeding to death is the important part here. ]

You're...a doctor?
Video
[He stares forward firmly, a smile locked into place. He really does look like a stuffed animal, like this...]
Did you need help?
Video
It's just... [how to say it]
I'm sorry, but how can you be a doctor without thumbs...?

Well now, here's something you don't see every day. You're really talking aren't you?
Video
[Much like his response to being asked if he was a doctor, Chopper stares forward blankly with a confident smile.]
Did you need help? [That's not the question you ask to that, Chopper...]
no subject
[Well, might as well just address the elephant- er, deer? in the room.]
It's just- [A brief pause.] This would be the first time I've ever seen a talking... um, actually, what are you exactly?

although just as cute. Normally Shirley would reflect on that a little more, but Chopper seems pretty concerned - not without reason.]I don't know if anyone here is hurt, but your friends...I don't think you'll be able to get back to them soon. Have you heard anything about why we're here?
Video
Entertainment? [WAS IT TRUE...]
Video
[It comes out as a stammer - oh no, she's scared him! Shirley tries to soften her voice to make things comforting, although there's only so much she can do without the power to return people home.]
But we're not in danger! Most of us are trapped here, but we aren't in danger.

Oh my god, it's an anthropomorphic reindeer.
[...yeah that's all she's got.]
Video
[He whirls around to retort to the camera in a fiery way before realizing that no, she didn't call him a raccoon. The fire falls out of him completely and he blinks, straightening.]
Oh, wait, that's right! You got it right! [Now, he's practically beaming, wiggling a little in place.] That doesn't make me happy at all, idiot!
Video
[she continues to stare at him, because what else do you do when something out of a Jim Henson production is talking to you over the space internet.]
