[ today, winn is coming to you live from the tourist's cargo hold. clearing his throat, he offers the camera a little smile ]

Sup, Fleeters, Winn Schott here, hope space is treating you well today. I got three things to run by you today, I'll try to be quick.

So one, I got - [ he moves the camera away from his face to focus on a box of 10 bears, on the large side. they have been dyed, and colorful patches have been sewn decoratively all over their torsos and arms. when he got them, they were covered by straightjackets, so this is his fix ] these. If anyone wants one, you're welcome to them. [ unless you're a tourist crew member. they will have magically run out if one of you tries to get one. he doesn't care if you can see them, they're not staying on this goddamn ship, ok. ] If any are left over I'm gonna leave them in Discovery One on the Iskaulit for public use in case anyone turns tiny.

[ he turns the camera back to him ]

Two - for those of you who don't know, Cisco and I have been running lectures, concerts, and whatever else people have been willing to volunteer their time for on the Iskaulit, and we're running low now. If you've lectured before and you wanna go again - you're more than welcome to, if you're a newcomer - likewise. Just drop me or Cisco a line with your name, topic, title if you have one, and availability if you actually have a schedule to keep - and we'll add you to the roster.

[ turning on the karaoke machine he built with cisco, he proceeds to offer the network his rendition of the dire strait's walk of life. once he's done singing, a little flushed and embarrassed because last time he did this it was with cisco this is so much more terrifying on his own!! he gives the camera a little nod and signs off. ]

[ so, she takes her time. stops by visit clint -- grab two travel mugs' worth of coffee -- and decides to bring lucky along for the ride. when she steps onto the shuttle bay of the tourist, it's with gifts in hand and a furry companion on her heels. ]

'Llo? [ she calls out when she steps into the hall. the one-eyed lab is off leash, and tempted to investigate the new ship, but he doesn't leave kate's side. ]

[ he's been sitting on the other end of the cargo hold, playing candy crush on his phone. at the sound of her voice, he stands up ] Hi - [ and turns around and --

his eyes light up. ]

Who's this! [ walking over and kneeling down, unless kate or the dog stop him, he's going to do some major petting here!! ]

[ladybro]

This? This is Lucky. Lucky, meet Winn.

[ the dog offers up a friendly ruff, tail wagging when he hears his own name. he's a gentle sort of soul -- definitely beyond his puppy days, and he walks ginger-like. a low, uneven lope.

kate leaves the two coffee mugs sitting on the edge of a cargo crate. ]

Picked him up when I stopped by for the java. Clint asked me to take him out for a spin.

Charismatic, isn't he? [ she leans down to give the back of lucky's head a hearty scratch. ] Definitely a good boy. Weirdest thing, really -- he came from that magical tree back on the hand-holding planet. I was starting to wonder whether we'd ever see him again.

You got a dog? Man, that's a good gift. Not that I don't love my phone - it's kinda like a pet!

We've talked about a play-date. [ but stuff gets in the way. not least of all was the fact that lucky spent half his time with clint. ]

[ of course he has coffee. he can't live without coffee. if you cut him, it wouldn't surprise him if he ended up bleeding coffee.

(ok it'll surprise him. but the point is he drinks a lot of coffee). ]

I'm just as much of a java junkie as the next hot-blooded American but -- we don't have a maker on the Blameless. [ hence why she keeps going to clint's ship for her beverage needs. ] So I'll take whatever I can get, here.

I only take my coffee two ways: either blackest black, or pumped with flavoured syrups and drizzled in caramel. There is no in-between.
