But he's not one to turn down kindness, especially when it's someone he shares a ship with, so he takes his journal and quill back and tucks them into his robes. His cheeks are a pretty obvious shade of pink as he looks away.]

I don't know about it getting trapped, but lightning certainly feels like it needs to go somewhere, more than most elemental magic. I think it's because the mortal body produces its own sort of energy that's similar and the two interfere with each other. If you can get the two energies to sort of hum in the same way though, it feels wonderful. I'm not sure I can describe it well, but it kind of lights up your veins.

[To illustrate his point, Adalwolfe lets a link of bright blue electricity arc between his thumb and forefinger. Lightning isn't usually his forte, but here on this planet all magic seems easy to call upon in even the smallest ways.]

[Sorey tilts his head into the breeze that washes over them.] Did you ever think about quitting, before?

It is a nice curl, but I know it can do better. I think it's having an off-day today, considering how good that form is.

[He listens, turning to look at him as he speaks. Yeah...he could see that happening. Jumping in to help with a small situation, and then it just escalating from there. That hadn't been what happened for him, but he's seen it happen for other people...it wasn't easy.
