[she blinks, before the smile comes back, just a touch wider. If he felt up to it, she was by no means going to argue it]

All right. [He hefts up the bag.] Let's get this taken care of.

Mmm. After - do you want to check the waystation, or just go to the Iskaulit?

[He grimaces a bit at the mention of the waystations. Hardly a good choice for a meal, he thinks. He's only made a short trip out there so far, and it wasn't exactly a savoury place.]

[she raises an eyebrow at the grimace, head tilting, but decides to let it go for now. She can ask about it later]

[He nods, and slings the bag over his shoulder. They make the trek back to the ships, to deliver their green cargo. Erik doesn't make much conversation on the way, but he'll listen to Tempest as they go.]

[she doesn't mind the lack of conversation; she isn't known for her conversation skills, after all, and despite a few idle comments here and there she doesn't try to fill the silence. It isn't as though she minds, after all.

Once they've left their haul on the Golden and make their way over to the Iskaulit, the only prompting she gives is for Erik to choose whatever he wants to have, whether it's their drink of choice or dinner or what-have-you. She's intent on spoiling him]

[They had gotten the food out of the way first, the bar providing enough decent fare to make a meal out of. He does get his credits out to pay, but Tempest overrides him, leaving him a bit disgruntled. It had been habit, more than anything.

He sighs as their drinks arrive, having once again been out-maneuvered on paying.]

[she gives him one of her impish, "innocent" smiles and reaches for her drink] You can pay next time.

[He takes his own glass, raising his eyebrows at her attitude. It doesn't fool him at all, as she knows it won't.]

Yes... we do. [It's a trait that goes back years, for him. Less so for Tempest, who doesn't remember (or was never part of) their first encounter in the library.]

[she says it with her usual impish tone, but there's truth in it, too. Erik, Charles - they were truly the first people she openly considered friends, and even if she didn't remember their history before Kyriakos, they hadn't held it against her]
