It may have. I certainly thought our ship was going to be damaged at first when it happened.

Do you know what that blow was, exactly? I've never felt anything quite like it.

[She's had blows and magic that felt like they shot through her and knocked her on her ass, but still nothing quite like they had experienced when they descended onto the planet.]

How odd for a planet to be able to do that. I imagine if it was some machine, we'd have seen it, no?

Maybe not, it could be small. But considering the energy in this place, I'd say it was by some magical means from the planet, or maybe the forest.

I've come across sentient castles before so...[A shrug] I wouldn't rule it out.

Yeah, it was a type of magical being. It'd have people live there, usually after kidnapping them, and feed on their strong emotions and souls for sustenance. Apparently that world had a number of them, spread out.

[A loud crack, followed by a snap rings out from the forest nearby. Riona comes to a halt, hand on her sword hilt.]

[Allen also comes to a halt, becoming very alert of their surroundings]

[The rustling grows closer, and there's a shape beginning to take shape in the foliage. Riona spreads apart her legs, ready to draw her sword. The creature moves in closer, and finally it breaks through the trees-]

...you're kidding me.

[It is, in fact, a giant fucking nug. Like, bigger than a thoroughbred horse kind of giant. Luckily, like its Thedosian counterparts, it seems docile, instead content to just lean over and sniff at the two.]

[Allen stares at the creature as it comes out of the forest. It takes him a moment until he realizes...he's seen this sort of creature before, hasn't he? Just...much, much smaller]

[Riona stares, stupefied for a moment longer as the creature continues to sniff at them.]

It doesn't seem to want to harm us.

[Slowly, she reaches out a hand and pets its snout. It snuffles, delighted at the gesture.]

It...looks like not. Nugs are herbivores, aren't they?

[A pause, now a bit more unsure]

[Whether this one does remains to be seen, but it still remains docile.]

...also, do not tell Leliana about this. Ever. I don't want to have to drag her out of this forest kicking and screaming.

Yes, she would. And frankly, you and Sokka trying to bring that dead dinosaur on board was bad enough. We don't need a living, giant nug of all things.
