[And the night has arrived! Dorian put out an open invitation, and anyone who is interested is welcome to dress up and meet up for a night of dancing and fawning over each other. Make sure to wear your best, everyone! It's a very special episode of Drift Fleet!]

((OOC: There was an open invitiation, but even if your character never replied or has had personal contact with Dorian, feel free to assume he's let them come along or be dragged along by someone else! I'll show you a little trick right now, if you want. [ She glances to the side, out at the crowds at the gala ] Outside, though -- too crowded in here.

[ She turns to exit the gala, simply motioning for him to come follow ]

[it's a good thing her back is turned because he is pumping his fists into the air and silently yelling "yes" before he follows.]

[ CUTIE.

The fabric of her dress is floating behind her as she strides on outside, and proceeds to search for the highest building on the Adsum skyline. ]

Hmmm ... that should be high enough.

[Whoa, what.]

... Alright, I'm a little confused. Are we going up there?

[ino]

Yep! A few jumps should get us right to the top.

[ Holds out a hand expectantly. 8D Why yes, that does look WAY further than any human being should ever expect to be able to jump ]

[WHAT.......

[He looks like he might pee himself.]

... A few... jumps..?

[He takes that hand so carefully.]

Don't worry, I won't drop you.

[ To keep him from having a full on panic attack, she'll demonstrate by hopping up onto the nearest roof first. Not too high, and not too far just yet. He might have noticed a small warmth and tingle in his body when it happened, though ... ]

See? Not too bad.

--Whoa. What was that?!

[Oh yeah, he felt it, and his scientific mind is not going to let him rest until he figures out what the fuck that was.]

--Hm?

[ Oh, right. She's so used to doing these types of demos now that she almost forgets. ]

It's my energy. I have to give a little to you to help you keep up with me.

You can give someone else your energy?!

Being able to move my energy around at will is what makes me a ninja and not an ordinary person. That's how we're able to do all the things we do, by moving it around to accomplish different things.

[ She sends another wave of chakra from his hand down to his foot ]

Like that! The extra energy in your foot means you can push off from the ground with more force.

[He straightens, eyes wide.]

Whoa! Can I learn to do this?!

[He looks like he's getting ready to jump, but he's nervous about it.]

[ Thoughtfully: ]

Theoretically, yes, but it becomes more difficult the older you get. And I'd want to make sure it wouldn't cause your augment to malfunction before I let you use your own.

I wanna learn. If it's theoretically possible, I wanna test it.

[ HIRO CALM DOWN. SHE DOESN'T WANT YOU TO DIE, OKAY. ]

Well, we can test it another time. In the meantime -- you ready to jump?

Okay. Yeah. [Looking at his feet, and looking for the next building they'd be jumping to.]

[ino]

[ She'll nod towards the next checkpoint, so to speak, before taking off. This time, they're going WAY far -- like across several buildings far -- before landing ... on a wall. Yeah, they are just standing on a straight up wall like it's the ground. ]
