[He notices the lack of overbearing cheer. If anything, it's welcomed. Not because he wanted this guy to be miserable- but false cheer was one Kaneis still knew all too well. What more these days it was even more putrid to him - like someone wearing far too much cheap perfume.]

[So yeah. He's kinda glad to see this guy has toned it down some. Enough that he'll offer a joking shrug]

I just might be. You think there's vents big enough to fit a person here?
