[ on the night of the 28th, the lecture hall will open its gates though it'll look remarkably different. Winn and Cisco would have decorated the corridors leading to it with Jack-o'-lanterns made from the pumpkins gathered at the little patch on the planet. The hall itself will be similarly decorated, along with other traditional scary Halloween decorations made from paper and fabric ( don't ruin the little paper spiders, they took hours to make! ). There will be music from various times of Earth-1 and Earth-3, so don't be surprised to find Lady Gaga playing alongside the Spice Girls! Feel free to make requests or otherwise, just show your skills on the dance floor!

There will be a bar run by Nami offering free sodas, though you'll have to pay for your own alcohol ( remember, don't drink and fly! ). Alongside the bar, characters will find a few tables offering candy from Earth-1 won by Cisco at the game room with a little sign reading TAKE ONE, LEAVE SOME FOR OTHERS and quite a lot of space chips and protein dips as well as various candy from all over the different planets ( cleverly hoarded by Winn! ) and a large selection of pumpkin pies and pumpkin treats. Characters will also find a line leading to Cisco's trusty ice cream machine, though it'll only offer peanut butter flavored sorbet.

At the corner of the hall there will be a karaoke machine with a little sign-up sheet. Characters could sign up solo or in groups and list the song they'd like to sing. Keep in mind though, the entire hall will be able to hear your rendition of Sexy and I Know it!

Adventure-seeking characters will be able to follow signs reading HAUNTED HOUSE and reach a large hall that was turned into a maze by large cardboard blocks painted black or covered by dark fabrics. Making it out of the maze won't be too hard and the maze itself won't be too frightening but will be mildly startling. It'll include some nifty engineered animatronics of witches, scarecrows, scary clowns and skeletons as well as holograms of ghosts! The song featured in the invitation will also be heard here, on repeat. It's a good break from the dancing and for some private conversations and moments.

Remember, costume are mandatory! you don't want to be caught by tonight's pumpkin kings, do you? ]

Well, I could have suggested singing a karaoke duet- but this seemed nicer.

[Thankfully, the paint on his hands is not in a spot where it'll rub off on Allen. It's like they planned to hold hands or something!!

Clay laughs in return at that, even as he lifts up his other hand as if to say "no thanks"]

You do not want to hear me sing anyway. Apparently I've got a slightly off-key voice.

Ah yes, I remember. I've heard your covers of that singer- Tyler S-something?

[When they reach the dance floor, he'll turn to face Clay and shift his hands to hold onto him in the right spots]

Anyway, I'm thinking when people have had enough drinks to think singing's a great idea, that'll be our cue to leave.

Taylor Swift.

[And he flushes a bit at that, a little embarrassed by the memory, but it's a little hard to tell with the paint covering his cheeks. Clay looks down at their hands, trying to remember the right way to do this, before facing him properly once he's sure it's okay.]

I'm thinking you're on to something. Maybe head somewhere else, go on our own Halloween date?

Right, her! [He grins] It was just a little off-key, it wasn't terrible.

[Allen will watch and nod when Clay figures out where to put his hands. When he's ready, he'll start the dance, again keeping it simple]

Mmhmm! It's Halloween after all, why turn in early?

Maybe not, but it's definitely not a voice for karaoke.

[Meaning, he doesn't particularly want everyone to hear his slightly off-key voice. He follows along with the dance - this simple stuff is good, easy to start off with, especially since he doesn't really know the more complex dances.]

Halloween's supposed to be celebrated all night! So... maybe an actual dinner somewhere, then back to our place?

[He laughs] Don't worry. I'm not exactly keen on singing in front of everyone either.

[He was having fun tonight, but that didn't mean he liked being in front of crowds. ]

I like the sound of that. Though, let's make sure to clean up before we get food - so you don't get make-up and glitter on your dinner.

Oh, good point. [He grins at that, finding the mental image humorous] I'm a big fan of space, but I don't think I want to eat fake stardust. And you might scare some people with that makeup of yours!

[Especially if they go on the waystation or something, where the holiday isn't known.]

[He laughs] You think so? I don't know, those people seem like they've seen a lot. I'm not sure how scary a man with skull paint would be.

[geonomy]

Ha! They probably paint themselves like that sometimes too! [He gives Allen a light little bump of their foreheads, though that means he probably accidentally gave him some paint transfer.] You might just fit right in!

Haha, just maybe! You never know.

[He smiles at him after the head bump.]

I'm really glad you came tonight.

[geonomy]

[And Clay smiles back, leaning his head in again, though not quite touching Allen's. He's just feeling cozy in the closeness right now.]

I'm glad, too. I'm having a good time.

[It's not really his thing, but he got to be something different for Halloween and hang out with his friends. And also:]

[He wrinkles his nose in amusement, his grin still on his face]

Ah, you make it sound like I'm not this happy often.

[He's teasing, of course]

Though, speaking of unhappy people- I met Apollo!

Oh, you did?

[He leans his head back once more, eyes alight with interest]

Soooo how did it go?

[... And while he'd like to keep holding onto Allen's shoulder, he can't help pulling his hand back to rub at his nose a bit before returning it to its position. Welp. There goes some of that paint.]

[Oh- that poor make up. Allen opens his mouth to stop him, but it's clearly too late. He tried. ]

I think he was...pretty thrown by my job.

[geonomy]

[Yeah, he seems to realize the mistake he made, if the little wince says anything after he rubbed his nose. HE TRIED... but he's not sure he could avoid the telltale itch of his own nerves.

Regardless, his brow raises at that.]

Thrown how? [By the tone of his voice, he seems like he already knows how. But might as well get clarification.]

Well, mostly he seemed really stuck on the idea that such a job could exist. And that demons were real. Like he was really adamant on that not being normal, and that he didn't get how I could be calm about my own...job?

[geonomy]

Ah, yeah... I was kind of afraid that might happen. Sorry about that.

[He steps a bit out of place now that his concentration's off, and he hurries a bit to catch up. Anyway...]

As an astronaut, I try to think of worlds outside of my own, especially when I came here. I was weirded out too, but I just kept thinking... what if something I find normal in my world isn't like that in someone else's? What if what's weird to me is normal to them? Even growing up in a different country, you're exposed to an entirely different culture, a way of living that you can't even imagine back at home. So a whole entire world in a different universe? Of course everything's going to be outside of our scope of what's reality and what isn't. Demons don't exist in my world, but they're an everyday thing for you.

[... Right, he rambled a bit there.]

Apollo's kind of the opposite. He doesn't really understand when things are outside of his scope. Just... give him some time, I guess. Let him see what everyone's like here.

[He listens to the explanation, smiling as Clay finishes up]

I see. It's alright, really. People being weirded out by my job isn't a new thing. At least he didn't try to tell me that I was some figment of his imagination made up during a coma. I've gotten that line a few times.

[People would actually say that to Allen's face? Clay looks a bit appalled by that, offended for Allen's sake, before he gives a snort, then leans in with a teasing half smile.]

Well, if you're a figment of my imagination, then I never want to stop imagining you.

[He chuckles.] Ah. You charmer.

[Though at least he doesn't doubt what Clay means. Honestly, at this point he's pretty sure the only difference between him and the Allen of Clay's fantasies is that one can spout off space facts more readily]

Also, strangest thing. Apollo seemed quite convinced it was my scar that you found attractive.

Uh...

[Well, he does find every part of Allen attractive, but the scar specifically?]
