Who: Maggie Greene
Broadcast: yes!
Action: abord the Marsiva
When: Now /o/
[Maggie has found herself a quiet corner with a glass of iced tea and the first thing she can find resembling food she recognizes. No 112 oz. can of pudding here!]
Can anyone answer a couple questions for me? I'm still gettin' used to this whole 'you're kidnapped in space' thing. First: I'm looking for my husband but haven't heard from him nor seen him. Though I guess if we're both kidnapped that'd be a stupid thing to ask for.
[Seriously, how does she even go about solving all this? From just scrolling on her device people seem fairly normal and not in absolute distress. It's really throwing her off.]
Second: I'm missing a few things that should have been on me when I got here. I suppose I have our lovely captors to thank for that?
[Look, she just wants at least her pocket knife, ok. :| If she can't have the husband, give her a weapon.]

[Dont mind the little dude here, polite and focused and whatnot. He really likes to help the newcomers, make sure they're comfortable! After all, getting stolen from home stinks.
(except when it doesn't)]
They're real mean; they always take everyone's weapons.
no subject
That's a good guess. You wouldn't happen to know where I can find them would you?
no subject
Even if it doesn't seem like it with this one; he's all politeness and social energy.]
Ships can have guns, sometimes! I practiced with 'em in the training rooms...!
They're pretty cool; you can get ones that have lasers... Just be careful, because guns are serious business. I can show you how to use 'em if you're used to bullet-guns.
no subject
[But still, she smiled and rested her chin in the palm of her hand. He really was like a miniature Glenn with how eager he was to help.]
Where'd you learn how to use 'em? The laser-guns.
no subject
[He speaks with soft enthusiasm, and maybe, just maybe, a smidgen of pride.]
I know stuff gets bad... I've had to fight before, even though I don't like it most of the time.
So I always wanna be prepared; I gotta be good for my team!
[He's learned from his time with his adoptive father and his adoptive space parents — well, just that... being small, being protected, it's not something he wants. A normal kid wouldn't really think that way, maybe, but he's not a normal kid! He's stronger, and he's fought monsters, and he's died and lived! And he's faced the worst of the worst, and saw terrible things...!
And he doesn't... wanna be protected, if it means people being in danger.
Not ever!]

It's probably because I'm an adult already but it'd be a shame to see you be in such a rush, you know. Though I guess being an adult, being a 'grown up' for whatever that means, doesn't happen easily whether it happens tomorrow or later. I think it's great that you want to help people though. It reminds me of the person I'm lookin' for. He's like that too.
[Which only made her chest ache more.]
What's your name?
no subject
[That's a sign of youth, right? Right.
Forget that other stuff that is terrifying for a kid to deal with, he's not bothered.]
What's his name? Maybe I can keep a look-out for you! I'll pick him up and carry him over!
[A grin, as the expression on her face clicks. It's the way Heather used to look when she was talking about Mr. Ned — it feels like it happened so long ago, but he'd never forget that kind of fondness and love.]
Is he your boyfriend?!
no subject
[As for the other stuff - gosh this child... she can't even imagine what things he's seen in his life, but it can't have been great.]
I'd like to see you pick him up. Now that'd be a sight.
[See? Smiling, a little laughing. Definitely the face of a girl in love. Doesn't hurt that she's already taken by this kid here too.]
He's my husband. We're married an' everything.
[For how much it mattered, anyway.]
no subject
[HE'S SO INTERESTED.
He's never gotten to see a wedding, okay!]
My mom and dad weren't married before... She wasn't married to her boyfriend after that neither, so I never got to see a husband and wife!

[Still it makes her heart sink into her stomach. This wasn't the first time they had been separated but it never made it any easier. Unconsciously, Maggie has her fingers around her wedding ring, twisting it. As if the feeling of it could remind her that he's still out there somewhere.]
I'm sorry your dad ain't here. Or Judith.
video;;
His eyebrows furrow and he shakes his head. ]
Someone needs to take care of Judith-- and I don't want her here.
video;;
[Because there was no sense in having them both trapped here. Still it hurt. It was always painful going through things like this. It made her get her hopes up if she allowed it to; that they'd find each other again, that they'd be okay. All that did was make her think of Beth and that was an even worse thing to think about right now. The last thing she needed was to eventually come undone in front of Carl.]
How ya doin' over there? Making friends?
[She grins, hoping that changes the subject. He'd been shuffled off not long after she'd arrived. About a day at least. They'd gotten that one day together and that was enough for her. Still it was frightening to wake up alone, only to realize he wasn't on the Marsiva and she still had all these questions.]
video;;
[ Being alone hurts, especially knowing you've been left behind somewhere away from home. Not that either of them had any solid roots in place to call home, it traveled with them in their screwed up little band. ]
I'm okay. [ Carl offers a wry smirk. ] My ship has three captains.
[ Not really making friends, exactly, but he's seen a few of his crew mates before retreating to his room. ]
..I have my own room.
video;;
That's somethin' at least. Gives you a place to go, to get away from it all.
[Because she already feels overwhelmed being around all this cleanliness and calmness, compared to being out on the road for as long as they had been. Not having to keep moving was making her turn over too much in her head. At least with Carl here it was easier. She had him to focus on. Now all she had was Glenn to think of, among other things.]
video;;
Yeah. Pretty empty, but there were some clothes in a locker. And lots of blankets. Door had my name on it, so I guess they're mine.
[ Honestly, it's overwhelming being around so many new people. They acted happy to see him and welcoming..it's.. bizarre. Kinda funny, too. A few years ago, he would have been trying to fit in as the new kid. Now? Hell no. ]
video;;
[She hopes, anyway. The last thing they needed was to stay separated.]
Any luck getting your hands on a new knife? Other weapons?
[Because fuck whoever's listening in on that one. They would prepare themselves and they would protect themselves. If anyone got bent out of shape about it... well, they could stick it up their ass.]

What's his name? I can check the roster for you. [But if he's here he'll probably speak up for himself.]
no subject
[There's an anxious air about her when she speaks. She wants to be hopeful that he's out there somewhere. The last thing she wanted was him back home worrying about her.]
no subject
So, the things you have are the things you have now. You probably won't be seeing whatever they took again. Depending what it was you might be able to get replacements.

Maggie. I had a gun on my shoulder and a knife on my belt. Figures those would get taken away. Can't have me rebellin' against any guards, can we?
[Not that she would outright kill anyone just to get free. Not unless she had to.]
no subject
[She looks up from her task apologetically. She was pretty sure she wouldn't find it when it wasn't familiar but she still looked through twice.] He's not on the roster.
no subject
[Well now she feels silly for checking corners everywher she goes and walking around with a fork...]
How often is that?
[Instead of answering about Glenn, she just nods, tugging on her ring again before pushing it back into place again.]
no subject
Twice since I got here. That was [counting in her head] nine months ago.
no subject
[It was bad enough they'd been separated after the prison had been overtaken by walkers, only to wind up in Terminus together, but this?? No. She definitely can't do that.]
