Daenerys | Open
Anyone looking for Dany could find her in the Kitchens, aboard the Bridge or in the Cargo Bay tending to the plants while Drogon lay against his rock garden.]
[ cargo bay ]
He stops by the Cargo Bay, watching and not alerting her to his presence just yet. ]

As for being watched, she has yet to notice it just yet. Not that she wasn't left completely unaware, of course. If there was a threat Drogon would have sensed it long before she even reacted. Strange that her dragon was intrigued enough not to react to Leto's presence. It didn't stop him from watching him, of course.]
What do you think? Will they grow, sweetling?
[Breaking the silence, she reaches out for Drogon to caress the scales along his back. Instead of answering her with any sound at all, he chooses to return to the lizard-shaped ball he favored under his warm lamp that Pinkie had made for him and her own animal companion. It was the closest thing he had to the sun while aboard the ship.]

When did you start gardening?
no subject
[Dany turns to greet him, Drogon sweeping himself into the air with his wings to land on her arm.]
Have you done it yourself before? I'm still new to it, though not unfamiliar with the idea.

[ And he's never been fond of it. Ghanima had liked the gardens, the lushness of it. ]

[She smiles, pointing fondly to her little sapling tree that had scarcely begun to grow properly.]

Or it found her.
There is very little that does in the desert. But we have the Spice and that is enough.
no subject
[Funny how that worked out. She had crossed the Red Waste into Quarth and that had nearly killed all of their horses and several of her men from Drogo's Khalesaar that hadn't abandoned her upon his death.]
What does this Spice of yours do? It doesn't sound like much of a food source.

Life cannot exist without it.

[ And breeding, but that part Leto conveniently leaves out. ]

It's a bit hard to miss a girl and her dragon, especially in a small space, and he smiles when he sees her. ]
Been awhile, Danny. How have you been?
no subject
Well enough, I think. Keeping busy, as always.
[She moves to sit at their small table in the kitchens, gesturing to Kirk with his coffee mugs.]
Does the Tourist not have enough beverages?
[She's teasing, really. She just has no idea why he's here.]
no subject
[ Her joke earned a soft laugh as he filled them. ]
No, nothing like that. Our coffee maker has actually been in a good mood as of late, believe it or not.
I came over to see Bones - ah, that is, Leonard McCoy. Your new lab support. He's from my world - part of my ship, actually. He's my CMO - Chief Medical Officer.

[She nods, her lips pressing together as if she could lock up her trepidations about having a new passenger when half her crew has departed.]
You're welcome to visit him anytime you wish, until he decides to transfer of course. I'll leave that to him. I find him interesting, so far.
[He definitely seemed more than capable at his post and for that she was grateful. She would take what blessings she could out of these changes.]

[ He doesn't say the immediate thing on his tongue about her not being able to stop him seeing his friend. It was a defensive reaction, borne from not having seen him in so long and feeling his absence keenly, even more so now that he was actually here. ]
His bark is worse than his bite, so don't mind if he gets growly at you. He's an excellent doctor, though, and a good man. You're in good hands with him.
[cargo bay]
That's before he sees the dragon, which is enough to make him snap his guard up, to start worriedly looking around for wherever the parent of that thing could be.]
I don't want any trouble.
sorry for the late <3
And you will not have it here.
[Slowly she rises to her feet and turns to face him while the dragon stared at their new guest without blinking.]
Can I help you?
'tis fine!
I was looking for the captain.
[Somewhat less important in the face of things.]
Does the dragon live here?
no subject
[She holds her arm out away from her and Drogon moves to it immediately, resting on her upper arm and still staring.]
Have you just arrived to the Caprine?
no subject
[Kai's eyebrows lift, disbelieving.]
I really hope you're speaking metaphorically. And yes, I am. Security, I suppose.
no subject
[She nods when he states his position aboard the ship.]
Security. You'll get used to things, I suppose. I'd never been this close to the stars myself, before arriving here.
[And he'd have to get used to her dragon too.]
no subject
[And because he wants to know if his captain is a crazy person or...a different kind of crazy person.]
Isn't he going to get much bigger?
[Kai's dealt with dragons before.]
