[She's a bit apprehensive what this 'magic' would entail. It sounds interesting.]

[it's probably not surprising that a woman like Tempest keeps sharp things on her person; she draws a knife from her boot and uses it to slice her palm - not too deeply, but enough to draw blood.

She holds that hand out so Maggie can see, next. The language she speaks isn't anything from Earth, but it's lilting and sing-song, and as she recites the spell she lays her hand over the wound, concentrating.

And when she moves it, after a faint, light glow, the wound she made is gone]

Wha- [Maggie reacts as soon as she slices open her palm, concern making her act. She still believed this girl truly was somehow strange in the head with all this magic talk but then she starts speaking and then the wound is gone.]

Wow.

[She stares, before reaching out to examine her hand which is now devoid of a cut or mark to even show there had even been one in the first place.]

Likely because it is not a job that suits me. And in the event of an emergency, I am no more useful than someone without magic.
