[The smile on his face is somewhat apologetic.]
I should have announced myself, I know... Things have been rather odd lately. [To say the least...]

Things being normal's what's odd. He's probably in his room I can show you. [ offering his hand for a shake. ] I'm Winn, nice to meet you.
no subject
You have the right of that! [He nods at the offer and finally moves to shake his hand, realizing that the young man’s name sounds familiar and that he has heard it before. Still, he can't connect the dots entirely.] Robb. Nice to meet you as well.

(he's already getting a little worked up anyway). ]
Stark?
no subject
Of course. Kitty’s teats. And this young man was her lover. It is stupid of him to forget such a matter.]
You are Kitty’s lover, is it not? [And he nods afterwards to let the other know that his last name is Stark.] I know she has told you about my drunken mistakes.
[Not that he is in the mood to talk about it, yet he has no other choice now.]

[ this guy is young, but rather than evoke mercy, it makes winn want to come down on him harder, get it through his head now that he can't brush what he's done off with 'I was drunk'.
but he doesn't know how to do that. maybe it's good that he's here to see jim. jim is excellent at dad lectures. ]

I fully admit that I have been in the wrong, ser. I should not have behaved myself in front of your beloved. [He nods deeply, trying to look as neutral as he can while fatigue threatens to seep into his bones again.] The only excuse I have is that, at times, a man can grow lonely. And when those men are in their cups they can behave like utter lackwits.
Like I have done.

You think the problem is that she's taken? Kitty could kick your ass into the wall, literally, and stick you there to rot, you couldn't lay a finger on her if you tried, and you wouldn't be able to with or without me in the picture cuz a creep like you has no chance with a girl like that. [ his fury and his home-turf, with kara and jim being within earshot (and he doesn't care if this guy is a friend of jim's too - jim's his brother, he gets dibs! besides, he's right and he knows jim would take his side here. okay, maybe he'd be calmer about it, but he'd agree!) give him courage to go on. ] Loneliness is a lamer excuse than drinking, it's guys like you that give our whole gender a bad name.
Sorry for the late reply, I had to take a small hiatus!
I have admitted to the mistake I made and I have offered you my apologies. [His eyes narrow a little.]
That you do not trust your lady with other men, is your own problem, ser. That is not my doing.
no worries! <3
it also doesn't help that winn hasn't been great at taking out his frustrations, so they've kinda built up inside him and this is just too good an opportunity for them to erupt. ]
That's what you got from this? [ he huffs incredulously, it's like talking to someone online: the version he doesn't miss. ] I trust Kitty. What I don't trust are guys who shift blame and think 'I was lonely' is an excuse for harassment.
<3
[Robb raises his hands and rolls his shoulders afterwards.]
I do not have the time for this. I have told you the truth and if that is not satisfying to you, so be it. [He shrugs and takes a step to the side, ready to walk past him.
He figures this man is blowing it up, it could not be that the lady Kitty made this entire thing look as if he himself has snuck his hands down her dress.
She does not seem that type. But then again, Theon Greyjoy never seemed the type to betray him but yet he did...]

[ he's not sure where he's getting the nerve to push it, but stress has been building up inside him for months now. he can't seem to be able to protect his friends from anything, and here comes this kid and harasses the woman he loves - and pushes all his buttons with the way he's treating this (he knows he's from a different time. it's margaery's time and place, and that doesn't help him in the least, because he's infuriated with the way margaery has been treated too and that adds a bite to his bark too) and he just can't rein it in any longer. ]
Sorry, the world's tiniest violinist's on break. You're gonna make the time for this because you don't seem to get how messed up your attitude is. You don't even get it, do you.
[ he sighs in frustration because he doesn't - of course he doesn't. guys from his own city from his own time sometimes don't get it. he fortunately doesn't see it, but he logically knows they must be out there. and this guy doesn't even have the advantage of a modern society background.
he takes a calming breath and tries again, with a different tone. ]
I'm not mad because you hit on my girlfriend. Don't get me wrong - I hate it, and if you do it now knowing that she's my girlfriend I'll be pissed. It's the way you did it. Kitty could handle it, another girl might not. I've been lonely and I've been drunk and neither gives me the right to treat a woman like a piece of meat, nothing gives that right to anyone.

[Robb shakes his head. This man is overreacting and Robb lacks the patience for dealing with that right now.]
I promise.
[But apparently this man is at least as stubborn as Robb himself can be.]
It wasn't that way, you lackwit! [Robb stomps a foot on the floor.] I do not know what Kitty has told you or what she hasn't told you but I am not going to listen to the nonsense that comes from your mouth! [Still, in a way, Winn isn't exactly wrong. In Westeros it is quite normal to look upon women as if they are pieces of meat, born into the realm to produce healthy sons and pleasure men.
But it is not how Robb looks upon things. Not with two fierce Mormont ladies amidst his men. Not now he knows about the strength his mother can have. His sisters. The joy a marriage can bring.]
If you wish to calm yourself with the image of me like a slobbering, stumbling drunk who has had his sticky hands all over Kitty, please do so. I will be the last one to stop you.
[But now he's really going to walk on, buddy.]

You couldn't touch Kitty if you tried. [ he means that quite literally, she'll phase on him. ] But words matter, body language matters, and understanding how yours can offend different cultures when you live mixed in with them freaking matters. Sure, storm off and tell yourself I don't matter. I try to talk to you like a responsible adult. Good luck with the next person you piss off.
[ which, if he hears about him treating another woman like that again, will be kara. ]

[The words drip with sarcasm and it is actually just the last thing Robb will say because, really, he is seething with anger. It would only be problematic if he’d punch Kitty’s lover in the face.
So for her sake he spares Winn’s face and walks off.]
