Who: Kai Gracen and Open
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: The Marsiva
When: Now
I’m figuring that at some point I’m going to get an explanation, or one of my guns back, or something. Because I’m not really likely to die of boredom, no matter how long I’m left here.
[And while boredom is a lot better than most of the alternatives, Kai would still rather have some kind of weapon.]
And I can still bite, if it comes to that.
[Kai shows his teeth and it looks like in addition to having pointy ears and purple eyes, he also has fangs.
He lets out a half-sigh after that.]
Seriously though. What is it I’m supposed to be doing here? I can’t see much use for a Stalker.

Is there a limit how much the rest of you will listen to me? Should I be pacing it out evenly through the days?

[That damn space was as small as a box despite being the largest ship in the entire fleet.]
Not that I'm aware of. You could make a post to this network everyday and nothing would change. Well, I couldn't promise people wouldn't begin to ignore you if you did that, but I doubt Atroma limits anything.
Half those 'ratings' come from such posts and conversations. [He gave a wry smirk.] Like this one.

I'm not much good at doing nothing, even if I still don't understand about this rating business.

Honestly, I've only just begun to understand and it's been a few months for me now. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Honestly, it'll probably just sort itself out.
What's your name? Where do you come from?
no subject
Kai Gracen, and I come from San Diego.
[Not the Southern Rise Court, but that's because he's more human than elfin.]
no subject
[Was it a world, a country a city? It seemed...off to ask.]
A pleasure to meet you, Kai, I am Anders.
I'm sorry you're stuck here now, I can imagine it wasn't your first choice of happenings, but I can assure you, despite how it might sound, it's not all that bad. It could be worse, we could all have been pulled here to kill each other instead of simply live somewhat together.
no subject
[And, alright, like it would be a good deal less fun.]
That something you have experience with?
no subject
[Oh, Maker, and what if he's gone and given Atroma the idea now? He certainly hoped not. Surely, if people wanted constant violence, they wouldn't be getting so highly rated for their personal drama.]
But the practice isn't unheard of on my world, just archaic. Nowadays, people do it for sport and without actual death involved, though I hear the Dwarves might have something like it.

[ Kai's tone is dry. ]
I wouldn't say that we go at things gladiator style where I'm from, but I suppose there's a time for everything.
I've heard one can get good ratings from simpler things, though, so I might rather stick to those.
[ Still with the dryness of his tone. This kind of humor is a thing that comes easily to Kai. ]
Your hair is a lovely color.

Whatever suits your fancy, I'm sure you'll find your stride in time.
[And then there was that comment. Did that come out of no where? It felt like it came out of nowhere and Anders certainly can't hide the fact it tripped him up when he replies.]
Ah...thank you? I mean, yes, thank you, I've always been fond of it. Yours is quite lovely as well, black isn't a particularly common hair color back home.
[More common than the early grey his boyfriend carried since he was young, but not as common as blond or brown or even red, perhaps.]
no subject
And, well, there's the response, which isn't what Kai was trying to angle for, in a way that's almost funny.]
Thank you. Most people assume I've dyed it, where I'm from.
[It's generally considered to be literally impossible for to have a black hair and purple eyes combination, given the relationship between the dawn and dusk courts.]

[He looks far-off for a moment, clearly thinking.]
I wonder if I could take some of the plants on the ship and do something similar. I'm sure someone would be interested in it.
[He blinks, coming back to the conversation and looking back to Kai.]
Sorry. But, no, you won't find that assumption here.
Do you have any other questions I can answer?
no subject
I think I'm figuring it out, or I will. There anything else you think I'll need to know?
no subject
You can call or find me on the Three Twins, once you're free from there, should you ever need anything.
[Just knowing he had Kitty to visit after her offer to meet her when he was in Kai's shoes, had made everything a little easier. He hoped it was the same now.

[He has friends where he's from, but they more happened than were the result of any sort of intention. People are difficult for Kai, sometimes.]
I appreciate the offer.
[It's probably not a response to his earlier flirtation, but it's kind of hard to tell. Not that it matters, since Kai really prefers not to sleep with people he'll see again.]
