I’m figuring that at some point I’m going to get an explanation, or one of my guns back, or something. Because I’m not really likely to die of boredom, no matter how long I’m left here.

Seriously though. What is it I’m supposed to be doing here? I can’t see much use for a Stalker.

You will find they have taken your weapons from you. If you wish for one, you will have to wait until you are moved to another ship. Perhaps you will have a security officer on board who can help you.

It shouldn't be too long, they'll assign you eventually. It is quite boring however.

They don't care much for your 'use.' You're only here as entertainment. By all means, start biting, I'm sure that will get the rating's up.

All the 'props' and things to bite will come once you're off that ship. If you look out one of the windows, you'll see a bunch of smaller ships nearby; those are where the rest of us are. You'll be sent to one and then they'll be expecting you to perform.

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll give you plenty on your hands in no time, Atroma certainly likes it's drama.

It means I work for SoCalGov, but licensed, rather than direct.

[Because no human government was going to hire an elfin, even if said elfin was raised by humans.]

It's my job to hunt the monsters they want taken out. I take private bounties when there's not enough government work.

Depends on the specific need. Recently a lot of the bounties have been for ainmhí dubh, because more of them been loose in human areas. I escorted a pregnant woman through dragon territory. I once took a job to protect a cow for three days.

Boredom is not an end you should fear. (The teeth are impressive, however, and Maedhros shifts just enough so that his heritage is not in doubt either. He is of Elven-kind, though he lacks fangs, sadly. Fëanorians don't need any other weapons!)

Fighter for hire, sort of. Take out monsters, find missing people, find artifacts, that sort of thing.
