I have been thinking about this for quite some time, watching others come and go.. [ He sighs, rubbing at his cheek. ]

What has this place done to you or your memories? Have you gained anything from being here that you could not have wherever home is meant to be?

[ Pietro looks up at her when she knocks, easy grin sliding into place. It's still much easier to act aloof to negative situations. ]

It is always okay. There aren't many places to go, after all.

[ He offers the seat next to him or across the table. ]

My back was all fucked up at home and the government could erase my memories whenever they wanted. So that's definitely changed here.

I found an effective treatment for a condition that would've killed me back home.

That being said, whatever happens at home could easily happen here and vice-versa. We lack full control but the events - the tragedies and the joys are the same because they come from us, not from the place.

[ Pietro slides out of his seat to put the kettle on, leaning against the counter. ]

We weren't particularly close. I am more worried for my sister.

[ They were together, he was trying to come to terms with that and be friends with Vision. Now? It's hard to tell what will happen. ]

I guess... just being in space is enough. Meeting people I would never know existed back home, seeing all of these different worlds... if I wasn't here, I'd never have done any of that.

It's given me new memories, and I made new friends. I think that counts for a lot.

I'm happy here. Not having the best couple of weeks with Vision and some of my other crew and Finn disappearing, but usually happy.

Yes, those are good experiences. Some of these places have been nothing like home, so that is something to remember.

I have been able to reconnect with people here who are important to me. Were my lover to show up here, or my cousin, I would not give home a second thought.

I guess so? I mean, my memory is still really bad, but I don't seem to forget stuff the way I used to. And being able to like walk and run and fight is pretty nice.
